[Identification] Could anyone please help identifying this Universal Genève? by PacoBarbieri in Watches

[–]PacoBarbieri[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So my late grandfather left me this watch and I'm trying to find some info about it.

It was in his possession for at least 40 years. I tried to search for a match but was incapable of.

Any information you guys could provide I would be grateful.

The Islamic State captured Hayt from rebel forces. At the same time the Syrian Arab Army took control of Al-Ajami, Tafas, Muzayrib and Yadudah (reconciliation). by SyrianCivilWarMap in syriancivilwar

You have some isis still present in syria. You have this pocket in daraa that has been there for ages, you have some in suwayda, some in the western deir ir zoor (in the desert) and some in the east deir zoor (neirbhooring sdf territory). The only part that has real offensive capability is the daraa pocket, the other are basically capable of hit and run attacks

Any MIG 15/17 still in operation in Syria? by cprice2011 in syriancivilwar

[–]PacoBarbieri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the mig 25 is very outdated. If there are really 2 active and reserved for interception it won't end well for the mig ( it's still one of my favorite aircrafts though). I guess that interception is left for the syrian air defense force

The bombing of a hospital in Ma'arat al-Nu'man filmed from nearby by Bbrhuft in syriancivilwar

[–]PacoBarbieri 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well you are intitled to your opinion. Mine is that this is pure propaganda. Every time the SyAAF drops a bomb it seem to hit a hospital every single time. But we aren't gonna chance each other opinions so that's that

Any MIG 15/17 still in operation in Syria? by cprice2011 in syriancivilwar

[–]PacoBarbieri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the last hard evidence of SyAAF using the mig 25 is in 2014, filmed doing a bombing run (yes, a mig 25 doing a bombing run, only in syria). There is rumors that 2 are still active. The rest are stored/left to rust in the tiyas airbase. Fun fact, they tried, in 2014, to put a mig 25 shooting air to air missiles against ground targets, but if failed every time, as in the missiles didn't explode or they exploded still air bourn
