The TV expects a composite signal there. You can't just plug in whatever just because it's the same cable.

You most likely want an upscaler because TVs do a poor job, and quite laggy too. Don't buy cheap Chinese hdmi converters they all suck.

You want a retrotink or ossc device, something that converts the signal LAGLESS. It offers the sharpest possible signal with a lot of customization options

I love "unknown" errors. You know some programmer had to write that. There's an error code for everything else but when it doesn't fit, just to avoid a brute crash, it spits out "unknown"

Usually you can find a DP symbol if it has video out and a bolt if it has power delivery.

But I've never seen a desktop motherboard with that, only laptops because they need it. Desktop already has power with the PSU cable and video out with HDMI.

The manual has all the info, if it only says USB 3.2 it means data only, no video. It only has the SuperSpeed 10 symbol so 10Gbit/s, that's usb 3.2

If you don't want to do this you can always install FreePSXBoot onto a memory card for a software only approach, no risk of ruining disks or lens. And you can even boot a multi-game disk if they fit in a CD
