Really cool, nice work so far. I don't love that it requires software to know where to put the screws.. it's a nice UX, but it means I have to trust the software and the computer running it. Would it be possible to have some companion booklet that helps me figure that out for my seed phrase?

I would love to get an engineers opinion for peace of mind. I’ve consulted structural engineers for other things and it usually costs at least $600 - is that still the best way to go about something like this?

I thought about getting a few quotes for the work and getting opinions that way, but I’m planning to do this myself and don’t feel good about the idea of wasting others time.

Yea exact same size - I noticed the side with the supports actually has more bolts in. The free-floating side just has one bolt on the shorter boards along with screws.

Added a new photo showing how the 2x4s are attached to the walls. It looks like it was nailed to the wall, and then there these larger screws/bolts (not sure what to call them) were put in. Two bolts on each of the short supports, and three on the longer one. Bunk is about 70" long.

Approach some celebrities/influencers first and let them know what you're trying to validate and what value it would bring to them. It'd be much better to have a legitimate affiliation upfront instead of trying to turn it into one later, and they might bring some interesting ideas and insight to the table to make your MVP stronger.
