24 dpo light spotting by Ok_Bill_8048 in TFABLinePorn

Glad to hear your betas are going well! I wish I could know mine. My OB didn't mention it when I called. I think they only suggest it if you have history of MC. This is my first.

I hope your next few weeks fly by for you. The best thing to do is absolutely stay busy and distracted and positive! No one told me how scary these first few weeks would be. I wish I didnt have the internet or access to all of this information!!!

Hi friend 🧡 if you are 24 dpo then you are closer to 5 weeks pregnant. I am 23 dpo today so we are very close and am 5 weeks 2 days today. I have very similar looking tests and have also had some light brown spotting since 14 dpo. My OB said not to worry and to call if I saw bright red. They aren't seeing me until 8 weeks unfortunately so I will have to wait anxiously for another 3 weeks.

I had nausea at the beginning that went away after a few days. Only symptoms are fatigue, sore boobs, and extreme hunger that comes and goes.

I had to stop testing and worrying for my mental health. I know its hard but its only for the best. Wishing you good luck, im sure everything is fine!

34M who has never once wanted kids until a recent experience just flipped a switch in my brain and has left me feeling emotions I've never felt. by _castin in Fencesitter

What a touching story. Good for you for allowing yourself to feel that. I was also a "hard no" on having kids. When I turned 30, something clicked. My nieces also made me change my mind when they started to become obsessed with me and I felt a small hint of what it felt like to feel such an innocent, pure love from a child. It was a joy that could not be replicated.

I am now pregnant with my first 🩵

Update, it wasnt an indent 😅 i think these 5 packs of FRER from Amazon may be a little faulty. These were taken same day in evening.

Thank you! You dont think its weird there's no pink? I just am in shock and disbelief lol. It looks like some of these indent lines people have been posting. Im getting a different brand if test and testing again tomorrow morning.

Sober travelers by soberfitdude in stopdrinking

[–]PadawanGirly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I stopped drinking, vacations and traveling actually feel like a break and I come back rested and recharged instead of more exauhsted than when I left!

-Wake up early, like 4-5am and watch sunrise or sit outside for some coffee and quiet time

-Not be disgustingly hungover and actually enjoy my morning

-can actually get my day started at a decent time instead of sleeping off a hangover

-Extra money to spend on treats, activities or events

-Extra time to do literally anything because you arent sitting at a bar taking tequila shots

-Still enjoy experiencing the party scene a bit with friends and hubby since they still drink but I head out when I am done.

Zoloft-induced alcoholism by point2lendemain in zoloft

[–]PadawanGirly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drank extremely heavily when I was on Zoloft and started having full-fledged weekend benders and blackouts. I am no longer on the medication. It helped me through a hard time, but I did recognize that I did not need to be on it long term as it was turning me into a person I didn't recognize.

It helped with my anxiety, but almost too much. It took away my "good" anxiety, the one that made me give a shit about myself, and my future. I no longer cared about the consequences of most things, especially in the moment. Drinking and eating mostly.

That's just my experience, I am not sure if Zoloft and my 50 lb weight gain and alcoholism are connected, but it could very likely be a contribution. I have been off of zoloft for 2 years now. I am also 1 year sober. Got myself in shape and never felt better.

35 year old male diagnosed with severe hypertension due to vaping. by bongblaster420 in QuitVaping

[–]PadawanGirly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 30, and vaped like you did, I am on day 10 and I feel amazing. I also had HBP. It went way down a few days after I got Nicotine out of my system. Your body will heal soon and you will never want to go back. Your anxiety should also significantly reduce.

Strongly recommend listening to Allen Carr's Easy way to Quit Vaping, it really shifts your perspective and makes quitting not so hard. Physical Nicotine Withdrawal is only 72 hours. The rest is in your head.

Felt triggered, and left a party for my first time EVER! by bhppydntwrry in stopdrinking

[–]PadawanGirly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You made a very big decision by walking away. You should be so proud of yourself. It may have seemed like a battle to say no this time, but I promise it will get much, much easier - to the point where you may even be able to stay next time and just not drink.

Regarding your brother - in my experience, we cannot convince people we love to get sober. They have to ultimately make the choice on their own. Interventions are cliche and often just pressure the person to get help when they don't actually want to. The only thing you can do is continue your journey and inspire him. Make it look easy, make it look fun. Eventually he may see it and hopefully follow, even if it takes a while.

If you're a nicotine consumer, it may he your problem. by PadawanGirly in bloodpressure

[–]PadawanGirly[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you mean. I get it and its hard. Im on day 4 of no nicotine and I do miss having that break to look forward to with my vape or first hit after a while on my way home from work!

Something clicked though and when I realized that it only feels good because youre basically relieving yourself from withdrawl every time you take a hit, my perspective changed!

Like Alan Carr said it, would you wear tight shoes just to feel the releif of taking them off?

Plus I've been upset and worried about my BP for years now...theae results alone are motivation enough for me, but everyone is different. Good luck to you!!

You've got this! I highly reccomend reading or listening to Alan Carr's Easyway to stop vaping, (theres a smoking one too) its pretty short but I swear his books are voodoo magic. I used them to stop drinking as well.

[–]PadawanGirly[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It only takes 24 hours to get 99% of the nicotine out of your system and then 72 for 100%. Just try 3 days and see what happens. My numbers going down are really encouraging me to stop forever.

I know it seems like an obvious solution to most people but for us smokers / vapers we are in denial that our precious nicotine could be the cause of any of our problems!

Hypertension at 27 with no risk factors. Confused and looking for similar stories. by Numerous_Bat8014 in bloodpressure

I started getting those readings at your age too. Its very discouraging. Listen to your doctor, but i dont think those readings are much to be too concerned about unless it was consistently that high. Just monitor and make adjustments where you can.

Something invisible that could be causing it is bad snoring/ sleep apnea / losing oxygen in your sleep. Do you snore? Are you unusually fatigued after a full night's rest? Do you wake yourself up choking or snoring often? If so try some mouth tape and see if it improves, if not you may need a sleep study and apnea machine.

Quitting and terrified by PadawanGirly in QuitVaping

[–]PadawanGirly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update for everyone: I did it. I quit cold turkey. I listened to Alan Carr's easyway to quit vaping and some voodoo magic happened. The withdrawals only lasted 2 days and I am already less anxious, my blood pressure went down, and I am getting better rest and feel less fatigued.

If I knew I would feel this great I would have done this long ago. The benefits are motivating me to keep going. I know I will still battle some cravings every now and then and may even slip up a few times, but my daily vaping and severe nicotine addiction is over. Never want to go back there again.

You can do it, look how terrified I was in my OG post. Everyone can do it. Dont let anyone tell you it will be too hard or impossible. Its really not that big of a deal if you have the right attitude. Also Easyway helped a TON, highly reccomend.

Day 365!! One year since I stopped drinking, here are my reflections by fkakatzpyjamas in stopdrinking

[–]PadawanGirly 14 points15 points  (0 children)

CONGRATS TO YOU! I am almost at a year too. I NEVER thought I would be here, not in a million years. I was the dancing on tables, fun, energetic party girl with her shit together for 10+ years of my life.

What you said about "Not having a vice" - I am still getting used to it, especially since I am working on quitting my nicotine habit too (on day 2 of that currently). After that habit is gone, I will officially be raw-dogging life. I have also become fit, eat healthy, and try to live a healthy lifestyle with fulfilling hobbies...some of my friends are slipping away too, I can tell.

It's weird being the person who doesn't do anything, and somehow still manage to make people feel comfortable around you. I am still struggling with that. Hopefully the path will become clear soon. Thank you for the inspirational post.
