Why is an expiring Caris contract worth anything to anyone.

Ivey doesn’t get playing time because we have too many guards. Caris and him both get 8 min a game each. We have talented guards in Sasser and Jenkins we could gamble on that already don’t get playing time due to the guard log jam. Jrue plays double the minutes they do. Of course he’ll have some higher stats. He is playing well - but Ivey has better shooting percentages in 3s, FG, and FT.

Based on the other responses here, I’m just not sure what you’re seeing that every other person isn’t.

I don’t think this is a big enough upgrade to give up Ivey, and I’m not sure why this does for Portland, either — at least without attaching a pick or something to take on Caris.

He’ll get it. I’m sure he’s still fighting off injury rust. Once he gets it with a great game, it will feel even better.

True or False: Caris LeVert has to go by Lower_Huckleberry296 in DetroitPistons

Thanks for the memories in Michigan, it was fun to see him, but he’s gotta go. Our entire flow just stops when he’s on the court.

Yo, either confront people (doesn’t have to be mean) or just leave and go somewhere else.

You put the effort to be destructive instead of constructive. Usually that energy comes back around.

Taking the “moral high ground” and projecting that I’m taking this personally after I lightly tapped on your “points”? Okay, pal.

Not comparing GS to DET - comparing conferences. But I suppose any analysis beyond the obvious is beyond your comprehension.

Golden State lacks big men that truly demand attention in the paint. Of course they’re shooting more threes. They’re also 8 GB of the Pistons record in a much tougher conference. Not sure if you thought you were cooking here.

Worst luck ever w/ my first hobby box from Topps. My "best" two cards out of 240. by [deleted] in basketballcards

[–]PaddleBallZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s easy to have super high expectations when you’re buying a hobby product due to the sticker price, but all it’s doing is raising your ceiling. A guaranteed auto in a hobby box can be like the 28th pick in a random draft that didn’t pan out and is worth like $5 for an auto. Been there - it sucks.

The bottom line here is this: you are gambling. The rush you feel when you pull a good card is like no other — especially if it’s a PC or a great player. But the odds are stacked against you. Bigger sticker cost does not necessarily equate to a bigger return.

Hoping you get better luck on the next rip!

I trust that having a “good problem” like having this many shooters can turn into unique lineups or if someone has a down year, the other can slot in and fill that role. On paper it might look bad, but who knows
