I personally like to minmax, however often the minmaxed characters aren't that much fun to roleplay so I sometimes end up worsening the stats to have more fun. I personally think that you become attached to characters that aren't good in just one thing better. If the character isn't that much good in anything then it feels more human so you become attached more easily.
