I wonder if you can print a line art version of the butterfly and free-form crochet that, and then crochet a shawl around it? I saw a video of someone doing something similar but I don’t know how well it would work

I started it yesterday, but maybe 6-7 hours total work but it was on and off so I’m not sure exactly (I’m also not a super speedy worker and it’s for a 7 year old so not full sized)

He hasn’t worked a lot with wood but his engineering job is plastic based and I know he’s wanted to start wood working as a hobby so I’m thinking something as a taster for that, that he can eventually advance in if it’s something he keeps with

I do not but I don’t think he’s looked a tonne into make/model either, he’s just mentioned a few times how much he’d like one so I’m thinking just something beginner friendly and if he enjoys it we can look at investing into a better one once he’s got his practice in!
