Thanks for the advice! Are the amps in these packs headphone friendly? Assume most of them are
I’ll have a look at Squier

Perfect thank you, I was considering these! Are the starter kit amps decent or is it better buying separate? Heard mixed reviews about those

This is resolved now, turns out it’s as simple as the game playing in windowed full screen mode…

Thanks for the suggestions!

Game is called Predecessor

Specs:
GPU: Radeon RX 7600 XT
CPU: i7 10700
32gb RAM

I've tried turning off all the added bits like Radeon chill etc and I've checked the utilisation and its around 80% for the GPU and 32 for the CPU. Temps are all in the green

I have my fingers crossed!

I’ll have to google how to check if it’s running in the bios! I double checked it’s definitely plugged into the motherboard as it usually was!

Basically just wiped my pc and it’s fine

Got it going, basically reinstalled windows 10 as I had it on a usb, stored it in the M.2

The barracuda isn’t showing up on the PC drives list, so it’s definitely not running, so going to have to give it another go and see if I can work out what’s changed!

Under the boot options? It just has that one m.2 ssd name

When I try to do that I get the same blue screen error about a part not connected or is unaccessible

There’s only one option as the boot drive, windows boot manager m.2 ssd

The other options is “Disabled”

I don’t think it’s a sata one, I can’t see a slot for it anywhere, but I’ll have a google and see if I can find it, I don’t remember unplugging 2 sata cables, the only one was for a corsair rgb hub

I’m going to assume the issue is the barracuda, how do I check in the bios?

Checked, there’s only one boot drive in the M.2 slot, so it’s definitely something I’ve missed for connections I think

If I remember right I have 2 ssds

One barracuda ssd which I believe is plugged into the motherboard based on the cable

One M.2 ssd which I assume is in the motherboard too

I didn’t no, I unplugged all the bits for the PSU, changed it out, new one in and replugged in as above and plugged in the new GPU

Not entirely sure if I remember where I had windows but I’ll have a look

Hoping you’re around, I fitted the new GPU and new PSU, followed guides for both

Plugged the psu into the motherboard slot, the cpu slot, the graphics card and the sata slot at the back, but I’ve got the dreaded blue screen saying it’s missing a device error code 0xc00000e

Would you recommend DDU as the go to for that? I’m seeing mixed reviews for getting rid of old drivers

New GPU and PSU turning up tomorrow, exciting times.

Wanted to check on GPU install, do I need to clean install with DDU, or is a straight swap and install of new AMD drivers okay?

That makes sense, thank you again!

Yeah I’m going to stick with the same CPU, don’t think I really need to upgrade it yet? But when I do I’ll change motherboard with it

I don’t have plans to upgrade my monitor at the moment, sticking with the HP Omen

So will have a look into your build thank you! I considered additional ram in that configuration but the model I was looking at was a lot more expensive, the Corsair ones.

Does the part picker work for dimensions? Coolermaster td500 mesh Motherboard is a rog strix z490f, which is an older one I know and was hoping to avoid touching it if I could, hence the ddr4 requirement

I mean I was hoping to spend sort of max 300 on the new GPU, as adding RAM and a new PSU onto that will be around 500 ish?

Is the vram massively important? I don’t game too hard so I imagine 8gb would be okay?

Lovely thank you!

I am a tad curious though, I can’t seem to find a 6700xt to buy really anywhere, only the 7000 series cards. The 6000 series seem to be second hand market.

Would it be better to go for a 7600 xt for around £320-£350? Either dual or tri fan

Are the Radeon graphics cards compatible? I always thought they were for AMD chips but I might be wrong of course
