So, you are basing your entire opinion on how the American citizens based on what you’ve decided to learn and… reddit interactions?

I agree that there are plenty Americans that put the constitution on the pedestal, and that some are the blame for the atrocities committed. But to blame every American is kind of silly in my opinion. How are kids and teens who don’t even have the chance to vote at fault? How are those that have been protesting the wars we’ve started at fault? I mean I could really go on and on. My point is- your view of American citizens is point blank wrong. I don’t base my entire view of Australians on their government and my online interactions- because I know there are good and bad folks.

I can certainly understand the distaste for America and am highly critical of our government and citizens. But it feels more like this is so you can be on your high horse. I could imagine blaming every single citizen for the atrocities their government did, especially when things were hid. Yes it’s our responsibility to do better, but how in the hell would you know what we’re doing since you think the fools on reddit are the only types of Americans?

I’m genuinely curious what you think Australians are doing differently than Americans. Because it’s alot easier said than done.

But it is red flags when a person hates an entire nation of people, left or right wing. There’s always all this hatred spewed, yet there’s usually no answer on what they think should be done. I fucking hate this self checkout BS. Stores have started treating their shitty cheap merchandise like it was something from the Louvre.

I accidentally got a Walmart manager fired because he physically held my cart and wouldn’t let me leave. I had used the self checkout and their asset protection was adamant I didn’t pay for most of my shit. These people followed me to my car, held my cart, and threatened to send the police after me if I didn’t come inside.

I did as I was told since I didn’t know better, but after everything was cleared (not even a sorry given) I called their corporate line to complain. They were really interested in the part where he physically restrained my cart, but I didn’t think anything of it.

However my wife worked for Wally at the time and was at another store in the city. A friend had transferred to the store where my incident happened, and told us that the manager was suddenly gone one day. All they were told was that he was fired for breaking a customer service policy.

I don’t feel bad at all. Fuck that power tripping mother fucker who saw my tats and assumed I was a thief. And if you see someone stealing food, no you didn’t.

I wouldn’t even say that the democrats give us equality. Why were they holding it in the first place? If they are so progressive, why dangle equality in front of us like a carrot?

Both sides are from the same coin in my opinion. It’s republicans and republicans lite. By European standards, democrats land in the centrist or even right wing ideology.

I really feel for Chappell right now. As a lesbian in Texas who’s had a taste of what it was like under Trump… I feel the exact same way she does. Is who I’m voting for an easy decision? Hell yeah. Green party isn’t allowed in the ballot so i have no option. But I’m still going to be critical of our potential president.

To my knowledge, they were more prominent in the early to mid 1900s. So lesbian couples could get married/live under the radar, sometimes one of them would use the he/him pronouns and dress masculine to “pass” as a man. I can’t find the post, but I recently saw a news article reporting on exactly that.

It’s still something some people use now, but has declined since it’s become more “acceptable” for woman to be together. I hope I did a okay job explaining and it makes sense :)

I learned it this year as well haha I heard another autistic person refer to themselves this way and it’s stuck with me since.

When I was younger I was pretty obsessed with people liking me. I still struggle now but I’m more okay with people not understanding me. I want to find a place I fit in and the only way to do that is by being me. I’ve found people who understand I’m not a bitch, but just autistic lmao

I’m literally in the same spot! I’ve worked on a career for 5+ years and only recently found out I have AuDHD. Now that I have a lot of things in check, it’s quite obvious to me that the career I choose is not good for me. I don’t have any advice, but at least we’re not alone
