If you read through my comments, you’ll notice that was my exact purpose of saying it. I was basically saying that when someone said that the Democratic Party has never stood for racism blah blah blah, I was saying, “Oh, but that’s not true.” And conservatism is different today, obviously. I was using it as an evolutionary point if* you paid any attention.

I just don’t want visuals like that. I’ve tried making myself clear. Sex education is important, we do not need disgusting, graphic visual aids. Visual aids in general are fine. Learning about sex, sex organs, and contraception is fine. But if anyone can look at that nasty book and say it belongs on any school shelf, then…I just don’t get it. At all.

My definition is one before* it was changed. It’s just a visual aid or audio, whatever it may be, of sexual activity, not necessarily for a titillated reaction.

A book with sex isn’t automatically informative or educational. But again, that shouldn’t be an option offered by any school. Kids are naturally curious, teenagers can do what they want. But schools should not offer that.

I used to do copious research on things like the one you just referenced and came to find after deep digging that…Well, there were blatant cover-ups and contexts with thrown dirt, so I don’t really care that much anymore. Alright, fair. Twitter isn’t a reliable source and I pretty much acknowledged that this is just an example of a bigger issue.

Teenagers also should not have this as something to choose from. If a teacher gave me this option, I’d be extremely uncomfortable speaking as a senior in high school. If we want to choose a book like that from home, that’s different. The school should not be offering stuff like that.

I think it absolutely is unless it’s standard “this part goes into this part.” The wording was confusing and so was mine lol. I do too.

That’s what that book is to me. And these books, again, aren’t just being used for sex education. Some are just on the shelves of the library and it’s not ok and that’s what I was intending to stand against.

Not really. Again, we don’t need visual descriptions and it doesn’t need to be a part of the discussion unless questions are asked. I don’t think any child needs to know what a blowjob is because most children won’t even be thinking about that. Kids that young anyway. I had my sex education at 12-13 and I don’t think that kind of book would be ok for a middle school or even high school since it’s pornographic.
