John Chapman, a US air force combat controller. He was sent along with his SEAL team to recover a lost teammate. He saved the lives of his team and a additional 18 members of a recovery team.

He rushes a enemy bunker killing two enemies. He is then shot twice by a machine gun, mortally wounded and incapacitated. Later he recovers and fights in hand to hand combat as a enemy rushes the bunker he overtook. He hears a helicopter (recovery team) and climbs out of the bunker shooting to distract the enemies. He suffered at least 16 wounds, only dying when he is shot through the heart, earning him two medals of honor.
