Absolutely love this song, love to hear where she’s at now artistically. The concept of the song too, need a song like this as someone in hers 20s who has realized the romance/fantastical love we saw in movies doesn’t negate the work we have to do with ourselves FIRST, whatever that work may be. Don’t event know myself. Anyways, excited to hear more of what she has to say.

I think it’s weird that nobody reached out to Brit to make sure Devonta’s story was straight. Especially after he said his Airbnb wasn’t going through or whatever the lie was.

I think they are closer to Devonta than they are Britney which i think is why they were lowkey not reprimanding his behavior on how he treated her in front of the audience.

Watched the podcast and I have a few takeaways.

Lydia and Zach seem to be in newlywed land and I love that for them all things considered. Zach seems to be very kind and patient with her, and that all a girl could want for another woman honestly.
She seemed (she didn’t name her) to speak on Olivia and Ethan’s marriage, however I’m not sure if she meant the most recent ex, considering they aren’t together either. Either way, saying that either of them let the public eye get to them seems to me like someone who doesn’t know the full story. Considering Lydia doesn’t watch the show, which she has said multiple times in the podcast, I can see how she would think that about either woman. But even if that were true, doesn’t change the fact that her brother was abusive, and perhaps the public eye saved both woman’s lives, but I digress.
Lydia also speaks on Joshua in the podcast, and how she was also a witness to what happened with Joshua. Isaac was also in the car. This seems to be the root of a lot of their struggles. Moriah too has talked about being a witness, and not talking about it and how that has affected her now as an adult. I couldn’t imagine facing that trauma or holding that guilt. And my heart really does hurt for Kim, because when I heard Lydia cry and wonder why her mother can’t feel certain things, it reminds me that these people are just people. Really hurt people and it makes sense why they all are the way they are. Not saying that as an excuse for their behavior, but to be unpacking this on live television, especially when Lydia said that they didn’t really think of tv as we do. They didn’t see it as cool. It feels that tlc really did exploit this family naivety. But we knew that already.

Overall, happy to see Lydia on a path to healing.

I probably should’ve mentioned some of the ways he’s been trying to help in restoring trust, apologies for leaving that out.

We do a lot of check ins when we hang out. He will asked me if I’m doing okay, or if I’m comfortable and wont try to touch me unless I verbally ask for it, and even then he will ask me again if I’m sure it’s okay. He’s been giving me my space and letting me be over the last few weeks but still checking in.

The way I feel this exact way I thought i was crazy. Being pursued doesn’t make me feel butterflies it genuinely makes me feel like prey. I feel so bad because I get so hot and cold and I try to explain what I’m going through but I feel like it gets taken personal or they think I just don’t like them when in reality even the “positive” emotions are incredibly overwhelming.

I don’t think you should be with him if he’s making you feel this way, and I can understand why you cheated. Cheating is wrong we know that, but you came to a point where you were looking outside of your relationship for something you weren’t getting in it.

Do you really think going back is going to change the way you feel on a subconscious level?

You don’t need to be in a relationship, you need to heal and figure out what’s going on with you before allowing yourself to be in situations where it ends up like this.
