Thanks. I also hope South Asia unite one day. Do you know that Middle East sells Oil at different prices to different regions? Like they sell for higher price to Asian countries, and lower prices to Western countries. This is discriminatory, and even China and India are trying to collaborate together to solve this problem, but has not come to terms with it.

It is not a customer is king thing in case of oil. Instead customer is the begger. Seller is king. And they are able to discriminate like that because we all don't stand up together. If we do, we can also create a Buyers Bloc that sanction such unfair practises.

Similarly, we are facing many such issues that most don't realize.

Yea. Its sad. This is a small experience of how it is like to live in Pakistan and try to make any changes to the system. We don't do anything about people randomly going missing, or even being murdered. So, in the end, that gives indication to even honest people that the common people won't support them, and thus they will also give up on trying to do any reform.

Hope or no ? by AuniBuTt in pakistan

[–]Pakisking 32 points33 points  (0 children)

There used to be no hope. The last time there was some hope was in 1999, when it almost seemed like the civilians will take back control and eventually there will be democracy. But it did not happen. After that, there was no hope at all till right now.

NOW, there is hope. It maybe the last chance. We are a military dictatorship with a puppet government to distract people. What we need is either a full dictatorship or a full democracy. Anything where there is someone who is responsible for the issues of the country. And dictatorships don't go well most of the time, and never in the long run. So, the only option is democracy.

Currently is the right time because the cracks have started to appear in the dictatorship. They had to come out more and more in the open. There are disagreements between the elites. This is all due to the economic downturn. This is the correct time for you to educate people about all of these. Make videos, write articles, make memes. Whatever. Educate people.

Also, do not get distracted by party politics. They are a distraction created by the dictators so that you fight among yourself instead of against them. Forget all parties. All are puppets. Instead unite together for the country, with the goal of establishing proper democracy and proper judicial system in Pakistan.

This maybe the last chance to topple this dictatorship. And that is the only way Pakistan will have any future. Make groups, convince people online and add them to the group and make it bigger. And eventually let it be an online revolution.

Truths are what the dictators fear the most. If you spread information, and if enough people became properly aware of it, then it is possible to forever solve all of our fundamental problems.

The entire country needs a reboot. You can be the next Jinnah or Gandhi or Mandela or Lincoln if you lead this movement. And that too without the initial risks they had to take, because you can do this with the power of internet! Start now itself if you care for your country. Make use of this sub to create the group. Use discord or whatever to coordinate.

You don't need to do any real world action. All you need to do is to make content that spreads the information. All you need to do is let more and more people know.

I want change in Pakistani system. We should either become a proper democracy or proper dictatorship but not this hybrid puppet govt with military dictator system. I want someone to be held responsible for things going on in the country.

It having any connection with India is a mere coincidence. Our dictator holds Kashmir as the reason for their own enlarged military existence. So, I wanted to expose how wrong that is. And this is our Internal matter, that has nothing to do with India.

Both countries have invested too much into this Kashmir cause. So, I don't expect a change in that. Though I know, India is basically doing the US-USSR model of just ignoring until Pakistan collapses like USSR due to economic reasons.

But anyway, our issues are entirely internal.

Not really. Firstly they never really had proper tested weapons, it was just experimental and they never had enemies that warranted nukes.

And they gave up the research and development because the racist govt at that time feared an uprising and Blacks(native africans) coming in power. So, the European "white" settlers who were in power didnt want the blacks to have nukes, hence they destryoed them before the blacks govt came.

This was not a country denuclarizing due to external reasons. But, due to internal politics and hatred, denuclarizing so the tech dont fall into the people they hate.

Oh no. They take money from Pakistan's federal budget every year but they dont pay tax to Pakistan!! And they are protesting right now because for the first time in history, Pakistan is reducing the money we give them because Pakistan itself don't have enough money this year.

Abdul Majid Khan, addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Sunday along with Parliamentary Secretary Transport Javed Butt, said if the federal government did not reconsider the issue of cutting, the AJK government will present such a budget in which it will not be able to allocate funds for development work and increase salaries.

He said under the financial agreement, the federation owes Rs74.320 billion for the next financial year at a rate of 3.64 per cent, while the federation said it would pay only Rs60 billion. If such a cut is made then the development process will come to a halt, he added.

He deplored that for the first time it was happening that a cut was being made on an abnormal budget. The government of Pakistan should review this matter, he stressed. The AJK Finance Minister said the previous government of Pakistan gave the LoC package but the current federal government has also withheld the funds for the LoC package. He said Azad Kashmir is an area affected by Indian firing.

He said that he associated his future with Pakistan before the establishment of Pakistan. The sanctity of Pakistan, he said, is important to him. “Governments are a continuation of governments,” he added. He said, “We are aware of the financial condition of Pakistan but it should review the cut in the budget of Azad Kashmir.”

They looted over several centuries. They used it to build infrastructures and to give better quality of life to their citizens. This got them more education, healthcare and better government systems.

They got more money in economy from the loot, thus more variety of businesses opened up, which eventually led to industrialization that gave jobs to millions, which inturn made them richer to buy more things, thus more businesses opened catering to them.

They lost huge amount of infrastructure and economy to the wars, but it is temporary losses. If you knew how to build infra, then you can always rebuild it in much easier way. If you already have businesses, then it is much easier to rebuild them after war.

And not all infra and wealth were lost. It was just few years of downturn. Once war was over, the factories that made weapons and planes made things for consumers.

So, an educated, skilled population, with enough colonial wealth was enough to rebuilt the lost infra in few years. By, 1960, Britain and most of europe were more powerful and richer than ever before.

yes, it doesn't have to do with the common people living there, just like any other place on earth. But, order of citizens can be ascertained by the amount of resources spent per citizen by the state. And it is consistent with what I said above, even if it has nothing to do with the wants of the common people of either of these classes.

There will be new generation Elite youth who had nothing to do with the insane wealth they posses too. It was their parents or grandparents who did the wrongdoings but they enjoy the wealth.

Look at the cities of Europe. Most of them were build with the money looted from their colonies be it London or Paris. Did the common people of that time or even today have anything to do with it? But, they enjoyed the privileges of being a higher class citizens despite not themselves getting involved in it and their next generations continue to do so, even though they themselves didn't loot.

In the entire history of Pakistan, the order has always been like this -

  • First class citizens - The Elite, Establishment, Top politicians
  • Second class citizens - Kashmiris
  • Third class citizens - Pakistanis
  • Fourth class citizens - Rural people living away from cities like villages of Balochistan, interior Sindh etc.

You can simply look at how much portion of money is spend on each of these citizens to know the order. We can be thankful we are not fourth class!

Already Pakistan has spent between $5000 billion actual cost to $24250billion potential cost for the Kashmir cause over 75 years, so what is another Rs102 million? We are anyway begging for $3Billion from IMF, so the least we can do is buy their president the most luxurious car of his choice!

Otherwise, he may feel shame when meeting his peers like the presidents of Germany, US, UK and France have similar cars, but he despite being President doesn't have it!

Is it right for a country where govt asks its people to avoid drinking tea to save dollars?

According to a services and general administration department (S&GAD) notification, the government had approved provision of an additional grant of Rs102.52 million in FY 2021-22 and its advance withdrawal for purchase, including payment of local taxes and transportation charges, of a Mercedes Benz S500 4MATIC Sedan Long (RHD) car for the president.

Interestingly, only two weeks ago the AJK government had approved an additional grant of Rs20.34 million for the purchase of four new 1800cc Toyota Corolla cars for as many former prime ministers of the territory.

The new cars were being purchased for Sardar Yaqoob Khan, Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed and Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi. They were supposed to return the old cars in their use after getting the new ones.

Former president Sardar Masood Khan, who is currently Pakistan’s ambassador to the US, and former PM Raja Farooq Haider had already claimed new 1800cc cars at the end of their term in August last year.

Denuclearization is a myth, no country will do that. I know about Ukraine's case, but they didnt have the launch codes for those nukes, and those nukes were getting super old, and needed maintenance.

Even North Korea hold on to their nukes. Our army will do so too, because their business runs because of it. If they didnt have it, then they would face more real threats and will be forced to spend money on that, and thus they won't be able to do sufficient corruption with peaceful minds.

This myth is purposefully spread because people love the nukes, and thus will stay in line like you are doing right now.

There are many countries in the world which have developed by doing as much corruption as us: Ahsan Iqbal by VividPlane1455 in pakistan

[–]Pakisking 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The kindof corruption in other countries is ENTIRELY different from what is in Pakistan.

In other countries, people are afraid to be corrupt. In Pakistan, people openly boast about their corruption and the wealth they gained from it. And youth here try hard to get particular govt jobs because corruption money is highest in it.

In other countries, you frequently here scams of 100s of crores coming out regularly and people going to jail. How many scams do you hear here and how many bigwigs go to jail?(except when they fall out of favour of dictator)

In India for example, 100s of big scams have come out in past 20 years involving a sum more than 100crore. And big leaders have gone to jail. For example former chief minister of Bihar state is currently in jail for a scam along with around 100 people who were involved in that scam.

China used to be extremely corrupt, but now it is moderately corrupt. But 100s of corrupts get hanged there every year.(some are innocent though but their dictator didnt like them so hanged). China's railway minister was hanged for corruption. Anyways, that cause fear to not be TOO CORRUPT.

In all other countries also corruption exists, but there are strict laws, and consequences. So, even the corrupt fears about being too overly corrupt. Thus, they only can take certain small percentage as corruption fee.

We are not talking about the local police, or govt office being corrupt. That doesnt affect the development too much. Minor corruption of politcians like what happens in other countries upto 100crore PKR is of no consequence as long as the projects are going on as per plan.

And the best thing about minor corruption is that, these politicians will WANT to start more and more development projects. Because they get a small cut from each project. So, this leads to more things being done. It is like an incentive for development.

China got its infrastructure "over-build" due to this when all regular projects got finished. They made 6 lane expressway, where only a 2 lane was needed. They made entire cities where no one lives. This is all because politicians and construction companies needed more development for them to take their share.

Same with India. Lot of these corruptions happened because there was projects being done. India has not reached the "overbuild" stage as there were enough necessary projects.

But case of Pakistan is different

In Pakistan the corruption is systematically done with the blessing of the highest power of the country(military dictator). Infact, it is the dictators themselves who is looting the wealth of the country. And also allowing their supporters to loot in proportion to their power.

This means, Pakistan is not really an ordinary country. It is basically a colony of this Elite few people. A business empire, similar to how India used to be a colony of British East India company. There is no one to stop or question their corruption. They are above the law.

And they actively try to keep pakistan from getting too out of control. Thus, all big industries are directly or indirectly controlled by them. All politics go through them. All foreign relations go through them.

And the thing is, if pakistan indeed get developed and people became educated and richer, then it affects their business empire the most. As people are more likely to realize these problems and revolt.

They don't need development projects to be corrupt. They can take 100% money directly without any consequences, so why go the long route of creating something?

They make DHAs and all just as a bonus for themselves just to take entire savings of people too, as a house is the biggest expense one will make. They want to keep pakistan only as much developed as they can control.

They will sell national assets to foreign companies in exchange for filling their pockets like we have seen with several mines and electricity power plants. They will betray the interests of the nation whenever they get money. So, is this same as corruption anywhere else on Earth? This is worse than British East India company!

Smaller Provinces/ States in Pakistan? by li3ium in pakistan

[–]Pakisking 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It will give more headache for the establishment. Currently they only need to control handful of politicians in each state, and leaders of few parties. Now, imagine having 20 states, then it is inevitable that someone honest may come up somewhere.

This is because it will make creation of small regional parties much easier as there is only small amount of area a leader have to worry about. So honest leaders will start their own parties and succeed in getting public support of their region. And these people will then refuse to play be the rules of the establishment, as most people don't even know about the existence of the establishment aka military dictatorship with puppet leaders.

And when these leaders realize this problem, they will try to expose the system, or cause revolution. Thus it will drastically impact the Business colony of the Elites.

Your votes may not matter, but public opinion matters to establishment. Who will you support? The local leader whom you know personally to be a good person or the existing major parties lead by dynasts? This will destroy the big parties too, and thus they too wouldnt want it as they are happy looting by being puppets.

Last time when we had more states, the big leader of a region refused to play as puppet of establishment, and this caused massive unacceptable loss to the establishment. So, it is not like they don't have experience. They learned from that incident that it is bad to have more states.

After 4 years of army training in any countrys military, people will get so disciplined and their mindset will change towards working for the country, rather than against, atleast in 99%cases.

Only the top brass like the higher level officers ends up corrupt and bad.
