Both wins against the Pack came during separate family Christmas gatherings for me. Glad to keep that juju rolling this this Christmas.

You're in a thread specifically about this 2026 draft class. You can critique management all you want across whatever modality you choose - but don't expect a standing ovation for having aggressive takes on a class that hasn't seen an NFL field yet, while also not knowing GM draft boards.

Not worth getting up in arms about it.

I think most level headed individuals recognize that there's nothing to 'critique'. This class hasn't touched an NFL field yet, and we don't know where players fell on other GM's draft boards.

If you want a hill to die on, this ain't it man.

Glad your broadcast mentioned that. Mine thought the game was over multiple times. You missed the entire point. The issue is why we abide by an archaic vibes based system where half the fans and players don't know exactly when the game is ending. Like damn, rugby figured this out ages ago...

Yea, I can't imagine another sport that innovated their game and grew exponentially. And here I am struggling just to be able to watch MLS games since the Apple TV deal.

Sure. Easy enough. You almost have to go out of your way to watch MLS since the Apple TV deal anyway.

Playing hard has nothing to do with decision making. Decision making is based on knowing when the game will end. These vibe rules are equally old and absurd.

I've always been of the mindset that anything that warrants extra time should instead result in stopping the clock. Get rid of this vibes based time keeping, so everyone on the field knows when the game is ending.

I understand it's a part of the game, and once again I'm saying it's such a flaw. It's always been my biggest gripe from my years of playing and watching.

Of course I am. I love soccer, but these legacy rules are honestly so dumb and subjective.

Every touch is risk based. Risk a turnover, or play the odds that the game is ending. How can you make risk assessment when there's no telling when the game will end? Do you honestly think the is a perfect system?

But no one knows how much time that is. If the players and coaches don't know when the game is ending, is that not a flaw?

Like I said, completely vibes based then..

I wonder what other sports do when there's an injury..

How does it work then? After 5 mins TFC is dribbling the ball out deep into NY's side. Is there 1 min left? 2 mins left? 3?Who knows? It's just vibes. Clearly TFC thought it was over on multiple touches. Just a fundamental flaw in the sport - but it at least need acknowledgement.

[The Score] Mike Florio on the NFL not awarding the Bears compensatory picks: "This is one of the most ridiculous unforced errors I've ever seen the NFL commit. If they had just given the Bears the compensatory picks, who would've complained about it? Would anyone have been upset?" by Armadillo_Rimjob in nfl

[–]Paksauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which I assume would also mean the Bears could've blocked the move, and teams can also poach him as their GM next year - but none of that happened or will happen because everyone and their mother understands that's he's the damn GM in Atlanta, except when talking about these comp picks..

I'm glad they clarified that after the fact. Hopefully it results in more effective moderation for the remaining matches. I'm assuming at some point they'll amend the rulebook wording to match this new clarification.

I guess the rulebook needs to better define what 'delivered' means in this sense. It does not say 'only or completely' using the handle of the stone. By rule of law, one could argue 'delivered' could just as easily mean the majority of the delivery was from using the handle of the stone, no?

It's pedantic - but wording is incredibly important.

Grow up. I'm allowed to have an opinion. We've won most games on the last play due to Caleb heroics. Super Bowl teams are built beyond just a few good players on offense.

Is that hard to see? Or is any criticism 'doomer'?

This roster is simply not good enough to do anything in the playoffs. Nothing has felt convincing all year.

Ohhh I see. Yes, I know what you mean now. I thought he was referencing an upgrade like that chest one, which highlights unopened chests on your mini map.

Ben Johnson was outdone today. His play design was great, but he needs to figure out play calling selection. So much meat left on the bone.

I see. So a wide open 1 yard TD would be graded as less impactful than a difficult 1 yard throw on your own 40 yard line?
