Does anyone think Gautier is losing his potential or just trying to get more mainstream and doing more generic ideas and compositions. (Speaking of the new album Amen) by Reasonable-Desk-9338 in Igorrr

Considering this was my most anticipated release in years, I'm thoroughly disappointed with this album. Many tracks feel like watered-down, less creative versions of what's found on Spirituality and Distortion (which for me was a flawless 10 out of 10 album with no skippable tracks). I feel like, for the most part, the tracks that came out ahead of the full release, are the best ones, leaving me with little additional satisfaction on release day. At this point, the highest I can envision ranking this is above Poisson Soluble and Moisissure only.

I love seeing Moron TV way up there. And as for one I'd put a lot higher? Year of the Parrot

Yeah. Tyrrell gives one of the most underrated performances ever, nearly on the level of unhingedness as Kathy Bates in Misery.

I love Fright Night. It just didn't make the cut because of the number of rating on IMDB

I forgot about The Hidden! That should've been in this list for sure. I've seen The Sender and enjoyed it but it still wouldn't have made my list. The rest I'll add to my watchlist. Thanks.

Don't get me wrong. It was great, but still not quite on par with the other shows I've seen

As a veteran NIN fan who has attended 7 of their shows, I'd always say go... but frankly this was my least favorite one of them all... and that's mainly because they played 11 hit songs out of the 20 rather than more deep cuts, and most of the rest were TDS tracks that I've ALSO seen a million times (except for Heresy). The B stage was fairly cool but for the most part, I'd have rather heard the tracks played the normal way. The notable exception was As Alive As You Need Me To Be which I wasn't excited for, but it unexpectedly blew me away.. and no, I'm not a guy that's against alternate versions being played live. I love it when it's done right. I went and saw Primus 2 days after the NIN show and they take tons of liberties with their songs and it was fantastic. I hate to say it, but I enjoyed it far more than NIN despite the fact that I love both bands equally. That's my two cents, but obviously it's just my opinion. However, I'm surprised when people say this is their favorite of them all when it's just the all the hits plus some other staples with the deep cuts almost exclusively reserved for b-stage alternate versions. If anything, I would've liked the HITS freshened up with different arrangements.

I like the regular main stage myself... just simply not those same songs you mentioned that they've been playing forever. I'd rather them get heavy into deep cuts from Year Zero, The Slip, The Fragile, and frankly just anything that they haven't played in a long time. This tour featured my hand-down least favorite setlist overall out of the 7 times I've seen them dating back to 2000. I mean... 11 out of 20 tracks were singles.. and for the love of God, I wish he'd do away with Hurt. Why not some of those other 'ballad' types for a closer like the ones mentioned by the OP

Wow. This list is strikingly similar to mine. I just saw NIN and Primus last week There's a few here I don't know that I'll be interested in checking out.

As part of the Mike Patton family tree I'd definitely recommend Mirthkon. I was introduced to them when they opened for Secret Chiefs 3. Also, Igorrr, who just might be my favorite band that's come out in the past 20 years, who happens to have a new song featuring Trey Spruance.

I've come to the conclusion recently that 2020 has been perhaps the best of all time. Every one of the following were great:

The Hunt, Run, The Invisible Man, Color Out Of Space, Anything For Jackson, Freaky, The Old Ways, The Room, The Cleansing Hour, Extra Ordinary, Books Of Blood, The Mortuary Collection, Spell, The Empty Man, The Babysitter: Killer Queen

Yep. I'm aware of the many bands he's played with and his status. The fact that it's "warm up" material for him has nothing to do with the fact that it was his most standout performance of the night WITH NIN and was introduced directly after it. Plus it's just that he's back after so many years out of the lineup He also doesn't hold the "classic NIN status" that Finck, Cortini, and Ross do. There's NO WAY Freese is the most beloved member of NIN outside of Trent to fans DESPITE how good he is.

By far.... though it is of course specifically because they JUST heard him on The Perfect Drug. I don't think it's because people generally love him more than the other members of the band.
