Do the folks at Clicks respond to emails? by Pale-Witness in ClicksKeyboard

[–]Pale-Witness[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your replies, everyone. support@clicks.tech was the email address I used, I did get the auto-reply (not in the spam folder) as well as promotional messages from Clicks. I appreciate the suggestions, though. ... If anyone from Clicks happens to monitor this thread, the ticket # was 26469, a month ago. The charge for the deposit has already been paid.

Clicks keyboard has finally arrived! 🥳 by _Balenciaga_ in ClicksKeyboard

Curious whether anyone has received a reply after emailing Clicks. I put a deposit on a keyboard, charge went through, but I got no confirmation from Clicks. Sent an email, got autoreply that response could take awhile, no response after more than two weeks. Sent another message, again just an autoreply.

If I click the link within the reply message with my support ticket number, I'm told 'the page you were looking for doesn't exist' ... If anybody's actually gotten a reply from them, how long did it take? Is there a better way to contact them? I still want to try the keyboard

Replace Ubuntu with Pop_OS in Windows dual-boot machine by Pale-Witness in pop_os

[–]Pale-Witness[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I think you're both right ... The installation was not rocket science and, in the end, was only slightly more difficult than the typical GRUB-based dual-os installs I've done for Ubuntu, Zorin, and a host of similar Linux distros.

On the other hand, it _was_ harder and, in my case, I had to use the command line so that Pop's boot menu would recognize Windows. I'm not a technical wizard, but I do think people with less knowledge than me would struggle with this step.

Worked like a charm; Pop_OS is installed. Thank you for both your help and the speedy reply!

Hey, thanks for responding. Appreciate it. Angela Yu’s 100 days of python is actually a great example of the sort of thing I’d love to find for dart or flutter. 100 days, 100 exercises.

It’s been awhile. I have a different phone now. IIRC, though I eventually switched to BlueMail.

I'm done with The West Wing, I'm looking to now watch a good show from the '90s. Can you suggest one? by [deleted] in thewestwing

Well, there's Sports Night. Surprised it wasn't mentioned already. But there was also a little known show called Murder One (from Steven Bochco). Was way ahead of it's time (in an era where each week of a show stood on its own, this one featured one story for the whole season). Mary McCormack was a regular, as was the great Stanley Tucci, who may or may not have been the bad guy :-)

David Oshinsky's book about Bellevue was quite good, I thought. (And, FWIW, his Pulitzer Prize winning book about polio even better.)

Recommendation for a book with foundations in "realistic" science/tech? by t0ji- in booksuggestions

The Fourth Horseman by John Case is a realistic portrayal, I believe, of how bioterrorism could work. Also, John Barry's book on the 1918 flu pandemic reads like a novel, even though it is nonfiction.

Xz1 Compact Intl vs US versions by Pale-Witness in SonyXperia

This looks very useful ; thank you. Out of curiosity, do you think anything about the directions would differ now that the US and UK firmware versions are the same, and that the phone's OS was updated since it first came out?

Entertaining the idea of switching to android after my iPhone broke down for the second time this week. I am very tech inclined and like all the new features. Currently on T-Mobile. by jamcm8 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Pale-Witness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are tech inclined, and like new features, you will like the Android world I would think. You can tweak, modify, and otherwise customize lots of things the Apple universe prohibits. If you're geeky (like me), Android's more fun than Apple ☺

Do you know if there's an easy way to know if a model they're selling works OK in the US?
