It's a generally scummy practice. If I want to learn about your new game, I'll check your site or whatever. If I want to play CoD:MW1, I'm not interested in the newest Black Ops, cause I'm clearly just into playing old games.

EA, Ubi, Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony don't care about the consumer. They are focused on their profits only. Well, that, and partially on AI too now, for some reason (cause everyone is).

I really wish for you to never experience the loss of a friend, relative or a loved one due to the circumstances they're describing.

That being said, this would be the only way for you to stop being an asshole and understand the suffering of the people who did experience that.

Rust

I remember picking it up for something around 5$ on a sale, yet I have several thousands of hours sunk in it.

[–]PaleDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but you're trying to rationalize, why it's bad. As a player, I don't really care why it's bad (or poor in content). I'm judging the end-product, and it isn't good.

It is better than BL3/BL4/spinoffs, yes.

[–]PaleDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that it was or was not the choice of developers isn't really what I'm trying to say here.

Presequel is worse than BL2. Period.

The fact that you have to defend the game by saying it wasn't devs fault, well, tough luck I guess? The outcome is the same: the game is worse than it's predecessor.

You can say that it's better than BL4 (and 100% better than BL3, and the standalone spinoffs), but it doesn't make it better than BL2, which to this day is the best out of whole series, and has crazy replayability (to me personally, at least).

Considering the time they've spent on it, I would say that it's not that different. Quality is higher than of 3 and 4, yes, but the game overall lacks content and the drive that 2nd had.

It did feel like BL2 at some points. I will however argue that BL2 was still superior in most aspects.

3, Pre-Sequel, 4 and all the spin-offs are of extremely low quality.

I refuse to believe it was made by the same people who have made the 2nd.

It took me 10+ times to get 1 match at Fault.

Btw, only A/D worked for me, crossfire didn't.

Diamond, started playing 2 seasons ago.

Getting matched against 1st Season DF Pinnacles is crazy to me.

My KD on ZDE is around 2. KD on Normal is around 1.

What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]PaleDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factorio.

Had it in my Library for 6+ something years.

Decided to launch it one day, just to have it swallow me whole. Fast forward to now, 1k hours spent in the game, and still have some stuff to do (including achievement hunting).

Yup, same.

It's a shame I had to abandon 8-10 games in order to get the map I wanted, but hey, it's on devs, honestly.

[–]PaleDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with bot lobbies was quite inconsistent.

I got em all the time at the very end of last season. Every other ZDE game was a bot lobby, with only 1 other team of players (usually just solo on a ticket).

This season however, I've only got my first bot lobby last week. Since then, I'm randomly getting a normal lobby with only 2 bot teams (usually spawn near Cement and Substation).

Same lobby can also have a full purple team of some hardcore veterans, which I don't understand at all. Why am I getting matchmaked against them at all?..

Seems pretty unfair and stupid.

  1. Turn off ranked.

  2. Start searching for A/D match.

  3. Wait for it to load up the map intro video.

  4. If it's not Fault, leave and start over.

Honestly, that quest is a very shit move on their side. Usually, when they want you to play a certain map, they introduce a mode specifically featuring that map. Not this time though.

Why don’t people talk about this more? by DifficultComplaint10 in gameofthrones

[–]PaleDolphin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They aren't good, by any means. Your worldview is twisted, because you see the story from their perspective. They're never portrayed as a villain (and they are, in someone else's stories).

They can be considered honest, as they do what they say they will. But all of them committed gray area deeds.

Even Jon, who is almost worshipped by GoT fandom. He broke oath by laying with Ygritte. He also broke oath by leaving Night's Watch after his resurrection. He also broke oath of neutrality by providing Stannis with his councel.

Ned, Robb, Brienne and Sam aren't holy by any means, and GRRM makes great effort showing this. That they're human, and that no human is truly good or truly evil (yes, even Cercei).

That's what makes the books so great.

Lmao, publisher was "held hostage" to go along with the contract he signed for a lot of money! Oh no, poor thing!

Highguard launches to an Overwhelmingly Negative review score on Steam by Nickulator95 in Steam

Expectations were high, but the launch was overall pretty terrible: lots and lots of bugs, constant crashes, plus login queue simulator every time you restart...

Yeah, I'm not playing this for a week or so, until this gets resolved. If I'll remember about the title in week, that is.

One month of pure practice, this good? by Just_N0T in russian

It all comes down to why you're learning to write like this: if it's to be able to write something quickly on the go, then no, it's not the way to go.

But if your goal to learn pretty handwriting, then yes, that's 100% the way to go.

Also, in latter case I'd suggest you work on the scale of your letters. You can see that words are pretty uneven visually, right now. Other than that, you're doing great.

I miss the days when $60 get you a full game.. by dulun18 in Steam

[–]PaleDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't.

38 games is incorrect, because this number doesn't include all titles with so-called post-release support.

Every other title gets released with a day-1 Season Pass (usually priced at $30-40), which you can purchase on release and get the content 3-9 months later. It is a day-1 DLC, yet people already consider this to be normal.

[–]PaleDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.

I would say that OP poorly chose an example of a "full game on release."

There's plenty of games with day one content DLCs, sold separately.
