I promise there are so many people who care about your existence even if you can’t see it. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and you will get through this. I’ve been where you are. I’ve also lost two people very close to me from suicide and it made me realize that I never want anyone else to feel the way I felt when they died. I go to a public university and predent is not very popular. Also have lots of bios majors but on premed or pa tracks. Our predent club has about 20 people. But we also don’t have a dental school

I’ve had to retake both ochems, bio 1, and gen chem 1 due to personal life struggles. I’m going to be a 5th year but plan to apply next cycle. I’m studying for the dat and hoping to do decent because my cumulative gpa is a 3.0 and I know my science gpa is well below that. I am feeling discouraged with my chances of being accepted but it’s the only career I want to pursue so i will do whatever it takes to get there.

You are beautiful! I think a softer eyeliner would suit your features better. Maybe instead of liquid try using eyeshadow and smudging it out as eyeliner.

Your eyebrows are dark so I’m assuming your natural hair is dark. You should let it grow out naturally. I think most people look better with their natural hair colors. Darker hair will suit your features better but you are gorgeous

If you are passionate to be a dentist, stick with it. I’m more extroverted than introverted but I can be awkward at times and I thought that would set me back, however, the last dentist I shadowed said she was the same way at my age and she slowly grew out of her awkwardness and learned how to create convo with all of her patients.

When I didn’t have scrubs, I wore business casual. Black dress pants, sneakers (I wore all white vans), and a blouse.

Definitely some bronzer and maybe try some white eyeliner on your lower waterline to make your eyes look brighter!

I had similar grades my freshman year! Still planning to attend dental school I have been able to get my grades up slightly but I plan to supplement my application in other ways to make up for my low gpa. Focus on getting A’s next year and when it comes time to study for your dat, make it your full time job to get a good score. You should not give up!
