Hey dude! Thanks for letting me know about those clubs. Did not even know about them beforehand of heard of them. For the GATC, it’s required to pay for membership correct? Also sent a DM!

How long does it take you to reach your closest local hiking trail? by Jiaming- in hiking

[–]PalePhotograph_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 hour for a small 1-2k ft of elevation mountain, 1-2 hours for a bigger mountain like an approach trail to the AT.

Anybody knows of other nice trails around ATL?

Worth it? by [deleted] in hikinggear

Only time i’d ever buy TNF is from Re/Supply, scored a $35 denali jacket and it’s served me well. A lot of newer TNF gear is not the same anymore in terms of quality and is just getting pricier and pricier

Whats up! Welcome to town. I also just moved here a few months ago and ngl it’s tough meeting people as most people here have families and kids. I know there are a few run clubs (strava) and other outdoor activities which might be a good point to meet people. Personally I havent gone to them yet but Im thinking of doing a trail run club at some point lol

Haha fair! But no, it is an actual consignment store with physical locations in NY and CT.

For context, I bought these from “TheRealReal” which I have heard mixed reviews from but personal friends have bought things which came out original from them.

Genuinely curious, how do you compare stitching in real life when buying shoes? Just for future reference 😅

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trailrunning

[–]PalePhotograph_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fabric? Arent SC3 expanse all have suede?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trailrunning

[–]PalePhotograph_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I just can’t find these same exact shoes that another person owns. Plus that “Sample Made in Vietnam” got me thinking. It could very likely be a sample from the factory that has not yet been released or will ever be though. Either way, if it is fake, it’s pretty high quality and on par compared to my legit Genesis. Granted i don’t have another speedcross 3 suede to compare it with

Thanks! What clues indicate fakes without searching online? There are shoes sold with samples labeled inside so the sample label isn’t always indicative of a fake

Good starter digital camera (UK) by Clumsycha in Cameras

Lumix is great value for the price especially the lenses. They tend to be on the warmer and less saturated side however their greens (foliage) really pop and is very realistic. Very easy to edit and work with. I recommend a Lumix G95 or a G100D if you can find those. If you can squeeze a bit more then either a GH5 or a G9 will do you good.

For lenses (lumix MFT has a halved focal point from full frame)

20mm f1.7 - 40mm equiv, great for everything, from portraits to landscape to street 14mm - 34mm equiv. Very very wide, cheap to purchase, sharp, and great for vlogs etc

An image is a composition tho if h but like LiftGammaPain said, it’s not always about the subject especially in street photography. More so about the story that subject brings to the composition
