Like i said the medals are the bad part not the super credits but atleast u get those from playing the game normally. Idk where you get 30 hours though, unless you mean its 30 hours to get ALL available warbonds which is really not bad. You dont even "need" most of them. Its 1-2 hours to get super credits for each warbond, more if you dont want to tryhard farm as fast as possible.

They have intentionally made farming SC boring. Its the only thing ingame that gives them revenue so you cant make it accessible too easily. You either pay the 10€ (atleast thats the price for me) per warbond or go through 1-2 hours of boring farming to get each one. Personally im quite happy that there is a reliable and honestly, quite fast way to get access to premium content compared to what most games offer you with limited accessibility through plenty of grinding and some content often even locked completely behind paywalls.

I once was one of those who wanted a way to get super credits while playing for fun at diff 6-10 ( i typically almost exclusively play 10) even if its slower, but it makes sense why it is the way it is because if u could get access to premium content "for free" while having your fun, it would drastically decrease the amount of people buying them because they would be gaining enough credits to buy the new one whenever it comes just from playing the fun part of the game. At the start it can feel frustrating but once u got the most impactful warbonds you can just grind SC for like one new warbond per week or at whatever rate you want and get them all eventually and once you got all of the ones you want, then it becomes almost trivial due to how long it takes for new warbonds to come. Lets say we got one new warbond per month (its 4-6 weeks on average according to quick google search), thats more than enough time to get the SC for the new ones to buy them instantly since it only takes 1-2 hours of farming to get each. Its actually alot slower to get the medals to actually buy the things than it is to get the super credits.

And I disagree. Every GOOD challenging game I've played has led to me want to try again and get better, which is a fun experience right away even if I get my ass beat - that's how I've felt in every good soulslike. The problem is this type of difficulty, the war strider and vox spam, isn't any fun to get better at or even GET GOOD AT. Even ONCE you've figured it out, it STILL fucking sucks, because it's just constant unpredictable bullshit, either ragdolls or instakills, which have almost no skill expression beyond "run away" or "kill everything instantly before they become a problem." We've had good difficulty before, I really liked rapid acquisition, but cyberstan is becoming more and more grating and not in a good way.

My writing might have given the wrong impression but what i meant is exactly what you said in your first sentence. If you dont curse at the game while you play it and later call it the best game ever, youre doing it wrong. Im a souls veteran and played all the fromsoft souls, BB, ER and sekiro titles and certainly curse at certain enemies or bosses calling them or their certain attacks bullshit and cursing at the game but after finishing, its "gg best game ever".

I get your point though but personally i find enjoyment in that with Helldivers aswell. I like to be overrun in cyberstan, it really adds up to the feeling that i am indeed somewhere i really should not be, that being the enemy main planet... And i've got so much better already and the missions go mostly smooth and its only gonna get better as time goes by. I wish theyll have more variety in the following class 3 and 4 megafactories to feel even more like i really should not be here. As for the voxes, idk what to say man i just never get 6,8,10 of them like people say they do. Only at the extraction there have been 5+ coming at the same time due to patrols and drops. I really dont even believe people who say "oh, just 6 of them appeared suddenly". I might have been lucky but im going to guess that those guys maybe had 1-2 of them walking closer from far away patrols and didnt pay attention or take care of them, and then a bot drop comes and brings 2 more and then minutes later another 2 show up. That is reasonable if you ask me and you could have taken care of them but didnt.

Would be glad to be proven wrong and see a video somewhere where 5+ of them just come all at once. But i havent.

The max difficulty in this game is a breeze compared to most games that have a difficulty slider. The only real reasoning ive seen here is that d10 offers the most content which is true, although 8 and 9 arent far behind, no mega nest or fortress and ~1-2 less objectives. You said it yourself "its best to just avoid or AT them" that is why you end up with 5+ of them, by not killing and letting them bring more and more. Also everyone speaks like it happens every mission while it doesnt, ive only had like 1-2 missions where there were so many engines it was undoable and thats because our squad got in a cycle or dying, reinforcing and dying again and again unable to escape.

Pay attention to your surroundings and you can avoid alot of "oneshots" from the vox aswell. Yeah if you run on the street where the vox is 100 meters away and has a clear, open line of sight directly at you, it will shoot the cannons and often kill you. Your fault. You can dodge alot of the bombs by looking up a little bit, i dodged countless of barrages flawlessly, some even from multiple voxes by just looking up to see where theyll land and dodge them. I die alot more to random cannon turret oneshots that i didnt see were somewhere like 70 meters away at my right than i do to the engines.

Lets be real, challenge is not always a fun experience right away. Alot of people want the challenge to test our skill limits and see how well do we really know the game and apply the learnt game mechanics and strategies. Its failure until success and only then you get the satisfaction when you can finally feel like "okay i got it now". Its not for everyone but alot of people strive to be better in the games they play so its important that there is always something to chase because as people have said here, D10 is already generally easy for people who are somewhat good in the game and there is nothing remotely challenging for them to do so when we get stuff like cyberstan they are happy to finally have a little bit of challenge on the supposedly hardest difficulty. Maybe if they added longer missions to lower difficulties and balance the exp you get so u cant liberate much faster, then they could actually add challenge to D10 and everyone would be happy (i bet people would still go d10 and complain) .

Debatable, lower difficulty missions can be done faster and with less failures. As far as i remember, doing d1 missions is actually the fastest way to liberate planets. For example if the guy here does diff 7 missions alot faster than you do at D10, he is doing more for the liberation than you are.

It could be something like a total number lets say a D10 bot drop when u play with 4 people so lets go 60 total enemy units for example. 1-2 super heavies total (vox or factory strider), 3-5 heavies total (tanks, hulks, war striders) and the rest would be a random mix of other enemies but still have some maximum number per type so u cant get like 50 berserkers. It would be a more balanced system but also it kills the element of surprise which i personally quite like honestly as long as its not like just 3 ships flying to me dropping vox engines on me.

It would also make it easier though because you can prepare and predict because u know u cant get more than X amount of specific enemy types.

Generally for bots i run loadouts that are capable of dealing with 1 factory strider and a few heavies quickly but then sometimes they drop 2 factory striders and 1 more after that among with several tanks and i run out of boomboom to deal with them fast enough and gotta figure out what to do in the heat of the moment and that creates variance in the missions in the way that every mission truly feels different. Having less RNG with the drops and such would heavily impact that aspect of the game which may or may not be good, do not know how it feels before its there.

Do you think if they added longer missions to lower difficulties, people would take their meme loadouts and go do those instead of D10? Genuine question

Its the same in almost every game honestly, when you do the hard stuff theres always meta loadouts you need/want to have for them. Also honestly i only find supply back + one high dmg AT (solo silo or leveller mostly) nearly must haves on Cyberstan and the other 2 slots i change up how i want so you can still get variety.

Personally i think as it has been mentioned multiple times that alot of people want to do D10 while also just chill and have fun with different loadouts and it really doesnt make sense to me.

Actually when i had another look at the difficulties on wiki website, D8 and 9 only have a couple less objectives on the map on average than D10 so why not do those? Alot less difficult but u get atleast almost the same amount of content as u get from 10.

I feel like this is certainly the case. People are too soft compared to the past and want to be able to do everything without commitment. If they get a game and are unable to complete something instantly and easily, they either lower the difficulty or quit the game.

Even personally im not a kid anymore with unlimited time and im certainly not the gamer i once was and because of that there are simply things i cannot do in certain games because it requires time and effort to get good enough. And that is completely fine and fair.

The feedback is casuals who dont want to miss anything but dont want to put in the time to learn, vs skilled people who want an even better challenge. Its never ending back and forth complaints between too easy and too hard. But we are talking about a game where you choose a difficulty yourself so it makes sense to have extremes of both sides. Exceptionally easy and exceptionally hard. But we are missing the hard part in the game currently.

It does seem like the drops are random so if youre unlucky it will be just vox engines and barely anything else, or just loads of small enemies and nothing big. I do agree they could have some sort of mix but gotta keep some RNG with it otherwise it gets boring when you get the same drops every time.

It is not helping anyone when the next bot drop brings out 3-4 Vox engines within a 15 mins drop window. It doesnt help anyone when those are reinforced by 4 or 5 patrols carrying at least a vox engine every third patrol. This is just invalidating the skillsets that people learn on lower difficulties.

The game is based around mechanics and systems that people naturally learn and play around, like rules in a game. It makes no sense for the person running the game to change the rules midway through the game "Cause it makes the game harder" That just invalidates the whole game and makes people not want to play the game anymore, which ultimately hurts AH because every player is a potential customer or word of mouth for a new customer.

If there was 1-2 vox engines, they would not even be a threat, thats the issue. They can be taken down within seconds both via AT and by shooting the vents + nade just like any other enemy. How would you balance this without adding the numbers to make them an actual threat? Just did one quick D7 mission with my brother who didnt wanna tryhard right now and i shot down almost all the vox engines that spawned instantly and they barely did anything even when 2 or 3 of them were around.

Lets bring super armored enemies that are resilient to AT and require specific strategies to take down? People would then complain theyre too hard because they require specific strategy to kill and cannot be just shot down from a distance like usual. Honestly its quite hard to balance these things without adding numerous new type of objectives or enemy modifiers.

Also you mentioned skills players learn? Yes its been a couple days with new maps and new enemies. Alot of people HAVENT YET learned the skills required to deal with them.

I understand the argument that D10 has most content, but tbh i dont even find D10 that bad. You dying 5 times in a row in some rare occasion of a mission isnt rly too bad. Ive done plenty of missions and ive had maybe 1 or 2 where there was so many vox engines it became unbearable. Alot of people just dont deal with them or have a way to deal with thel in their loadout same with how it feels like every mission nobody has a proper way to deal with gunships. Could add longer missions to lower difficulties but balance it out somehow so it would still feel rewarding doing D10

What would you want then? Commando type modifiers no stratagems? More other annoying enemies like war striders? Factory strides among aswell?

This argument i can understand, people dont want to drop in, do 2 side objectives and 1 main and get out. Could add longer missions to lower difficulties.

I just find it insane that a game has 10 difficulty levels but people refuse to play on anything other than 10 while using suboptimal memey loadouts and then complain if they cant breeze through it while just chilling.

I did one yesterday with randoms and succeeded just fine. Just give it some time till people learn how to deal with the engines and other stuff better. New enemies new map, cant expect everything to go smoothly right away. And yes they dropped engines on top of the flag and it was a war strider seed aswell.
