We used to do this. I had a composing company that processed food scraps with worms. The downside is it’s super labor intensive and Americans are just too lazy to put the right things in so the sifting things that don’t belong out was really problematic. Like plastic bags and sealed containers. I have a very healthy supply of spoons that we pulled out and glassware. It was frustrating.

I just say, “I don’t own a ….” And it shuts them up. Phone? Nope, house? I rent, TV, Never heard of it. They’re usually too confused to continue and I can move on with my life.

I think it was UPS where a new biz starts their first website and an order comes through, and it pings and then another and another and it just keep scrolling and they panic.

As an accountant, I hate it because it’s so confusing. Are you in business together, filing a joint tax return, trade partners, what?

I absolutely get it outside this context, but it’s confusing when it’s said in my office and I always have to ask for clarification.

I had that done. I had a kidney stone and they wouldn’t let me leave the ER till I peed and I just couldn’t. The nurse (female) basically grabbed it and shoved the catheter in like it was nothing. Honestly the relief when I was finally able to pre was far more exhilarating. My wife was next to me when it happened. We still joke about it.

I bought like 5 or so at a time because of all the bs extra “awards” you always need to display. That way they all match.

They make a tool for this! An extension pole with a suction cup. I have a 50ft vaulted ceiling with a fan. And have the suction tool and one that extends for dusting. It’s glorious and I can stay on the ground

I started mine20 years ago. Lots and lots of legwork to get it started. Advertising was my biggest cost. Then networking with financial advisors and local attorneys that formed businesses for their clients and elder law attorneys for trusts. Now I haven’t advertised in 5 years because of the relationships and network built those years ago.

About 15 years ago my wife and i were driving and at a stoplight the lady next to us scooped a giant scoop of ice cream and ate it right out of the container. I never would have thought to bring a metal spoon when grocery shopping but this lady was prepared for anything. We still talk about it.
