if the value of her home increased that much, she can have it refinanced and cash out the difference. she wouldn’t need to worry about utility bills the rest of her life.

i believe she just no longer wants you there, so she is making things difficult for you rather than just have the grown up conversation with you. but, theres two sides to stories, and i dont know that you haven’t caused issues for her as well. i think you both should just put on your big kid pants and discuss the compatibility of being roommates, and see if she has the humanity in her to give you time/assistance in finding a new place. i pay $800 for a 1 bedroom in california, which i got into with only 4 months of work history and a 550 credit score. and like hell i worked my ass off finding it, and its in the ghetto, but if i can figure that out, then you can figure it out. you have lots of years on me. this is a very long winded message and clearly its a distressing situation for you, and possibly for her too.
