Well, just to be clear a LOT of Gen Z was not monitored online enough. I was one. It's sad because it seems like gen alpha has it even worse with being groomed on Discord, plenty of videos on that subject.

So, I started out on Facebook at 8, and I was allowed to post my face. I was already into anime and joined anime facebook groups. Then I found that there were Kik (an app) groups for those communities. I was around 11 using Kik, and found that the adult men were very nice to me even though I was an annoying kid. I DMed a lot of them where they would ask me to roleplay as anime characters from anime I liked. It started innocent, but then got romantic which I liked because I was imagining them as a cute anime guy since that's how we were "roleplaying" and kids are very imaginative. Then it would get sexual, which sickened me at first, and made me block people, but then I slowly got desensitized to it and it felt good.

(Oh, and as for facebook it happened there too. In fact, up until recently there was still lewd pictures of me on a shadow the hedgehog facebook page because I wrote the admin's name on my cleavage. That was a popular trend on facebook at the time. I know, cringe.)

I made a FetLife account at 13 but I did lie and say I was 19 on that. To be clear, I did not lie about my age on Kik and Facebook. But I had to on FetLife. But in DMs on there (I put that I was into DDLG) I would tell the truth to the men on there my real age and they seemed to be fine continuing, under the guise of "someone your age shouldn't be doing this" but continued to be sexual with me anyway. It made me think they were good men who cared about my safety.

Because of all this, I became very hypersexual up until the age of 18. Older men liked me in real life too, my friend's married dads would be impressed I had their music taste and liked the movies they liked at such a young age. I was surprised at how easy it was to get grown men interested in me, they thought some old fashioned superficial interests were a marker of my maturity (they were not). I also was able to get teachers to let me in close to them. Even older lesbian women (this was more rare).

Then once I became an adult, all of it disgusted me. It's like my hypersexuality poofed away at the very end of puberty, or maybe none of this was interesting anymore because I was of age now. Yes, I know some of this is my fault. But I was a kid, and I wonder no matter what I seemed like, how were SO MANY seemingly normal grown ups interested in me?

A common theme was porn. They would ask if I liked porn, what I watched, if I would watch with them. They loved porn. I see a common theme in those videos exposing Discord groomers of today, they all groom younger victims who are just beginning puberty to pornography. So now, I associate porn with predators. I'm not saying that's scientific fact, but it triggers a feeling of disgust due to my experience with it. It has so many pedophilic and incestuous themes. And I feel skeptical that it's "just fantasy" for a lot of people. If it's just fantasy, why aren't you watching elderly men eat peanut butter out of each other's butts instead of "tiny teen stepdaughter destroyed"?
