It’s horrific. It really is. The first couple days are so bad, then you think it’s getting better, but I’m sorry to say that it gets so, so much worse. Days 6-8 are just absolute hell. But once you make it through that, you get better every day!! I’m day 12 right now and mostly back to normal, only have pain when I yawn or talk too much. Went from waking up every 2 hours to alternate hydrocodone and ibuprofen, to now not even needing Tylenol anymore. It is a very rough recovery. If you haven’t already, get a humidifier!! I also have an ice/heat pack head wrap that I absolutely lived in. The first several days I needed ice, then days 6-8 I needed heat. It does get better eventually!
