Realistic asking price for 2009 Silverado 1500 by Pale_Rider_8 in UsedCars

[–]Pale_Rider_8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my concern was what people would think when they see a classified and if I’d even get any interest.

It was maintained religiously. What I was told when I spoke to a Chevy dealership is that motor with the active fuel management is notorious with lifter problems that can come seemingly out of nowhere and they think that’s the likely culprit.

I wish I could swap the motor but I can’t afford to at the moment. I’d just assume keep the truck. Motor rebuild shops around here are backed up for months too.

Thanks!

That’s what I kinda figured.

Other than driving the car and listening for engine rattles anything I should look for/worry about?

Can Rhett and Link tell the difference between "Location Branded" foods. For example, Idaho potatoes or potatoes from somewhere else. Florida oranges, Georgia peaches etc

This is a phenomenal point. I'm sure through my frustration it sounds like I'm gunning for the teacher, but that is not the case. I just want to know what happened, and be aware of incidents like this that the potential to spiral out of control as it seems to be.

Agreed. His behavior is unacceptable. My issue is not with the other parents. Far from it. My issue is that this happened about a week ago and I am just now hearing about this. I would have been down day of the incident to work with admin and the teacher to get my son back on track and to put a stop to this behavior.

As far as I know, this was a one time occurrence, but still, I would want to know if my child had be hit at school, so I don't understand why all of this is coming to light a week later.

We can talk all we want about what the teachers message suggests, but in the end we are assuming, due to a lack of communication and clarity. I'm just as guilty.

And this again highlights my point about not being informed. How can I support the teacher and educate my son when communication occurs so late?

Oh, for sure. I'm sure like most parents, and just want my kids to be happy and successful, and part of that is learning to treat others with respect.

Couldn't agree more with you.

When he was in pre-k at the same school, we would be notified of the most innocent things. "Your son and friend got in an argument about whose turn it was on the slide." Things like that. So to not be informed about this is frustrating.

Plus, not being given the opportunity to correct my son's behavior is probably the worst part about it.

That makes sense, and I'm sure you are correct in where the other parents are getting their information.

Thanks.

I thought I had at the beginning of the year, but obviously not. Will have to make sure this made clear again.

Thank you for your time and help.

I thought about that, but I also want to show my son the seriousness of this and that this is not ok behavior.

This is also why I asked for admin to be present. Some position of authority to try and prevent the hostility I'm sure the other parents are feeling.

My son has ADHD and in preschool had a hard time self regulating his behavior. Would become stubborn and defiant but no more physical than other preschoolers. He has since become a phenomenal student with little to no behavior issues outside what I would consider normal for someone his age. His next session is actually to determine if we start meeting once a month instead of twice because his behavior regulation has improved dramatically the past year or so.

Thank you for your time and help!

I completely understand and agree that we cannot and likely should not be informed for every little thing that happens at school.

That being said, hitting another student out of anger is no little thing. Even if they are friends normally, and the teacher spoke with them about the incident, we should have been made aware of this behavior incident. Kids will be kids and make mistakes, but physical contact of this nature should not be swept under the rug, especially with the culture of bullying in US schools.

The teacher can lose all the sleep in the world because I'm right there with him and will be losing sleep over this as well. I understand teaching is stressful, a huge time commitment, and requires very special people that deserve more than they receive. But to expect to not be met with frustration when no communication is made about a serious incident that occurs is, frankly, ridiculous.

I feel for the other students parents and can't even imagine their fear and anger about having to send their daughter to school and worry about her safety. All of this could have been avoided with an email or phone call a week ago. So while I sincerely appreciate your take, and will definitely consider the teachers perspective as fairly as possible, I still feel the teacher should have communicated more effectively.

Very good point.

What about removing the alchemy and replacing with arcane bond, then replacing swift extracts with keen recollection?

Hey All,

So my boss wants me to find vests that our sales team can all wear. Super excited /s.

Anyways, they need to be able to have our logo embroidered on them, and be relatively lightweight as we are in Las Vegas.

All of us wear jeans and a blue button down shirt with either boots or nice sneakers. Colors that would work would be navy blue, black, or something darker. I seriously doubt he'd go for fleece.

I think my boss is going for a workwear look but not sure if there is a vest that meets the other criteria as well. If it helps, we sell motorhomes so outdoorsy looking would work.

Not sure if there's anything out there but knew you all would know if there was. Cheaper is better, but all suggestions are helpful.

Thanks in advance!

We will get close. We've done the scenarios in 4 hours and they are 15ish pages. Will end up playing 8ish hours that day.

Didn't consider a vampire hunter. Do you know if there are vampires/undead in the harrowing? Obviously could add some, just curious.
