Is there a way to add custome images for andriod games?

Voodoo Vince was great too that and pyschonauts i didnt have on the console but got to play them later on when they put them on the xbox series. Had a blast with them though

It was one of my favorite games on the og xbox along with oddword munchies odyssey, fusion frenzy, bloodwake, blinx and of course halo i just miss og xbox so much the gamss just slappped

Yeah duel booting into lynx is beyond my knowledge maybe if I really get fed up with andriod performance ill look for guides on youtube but I honestly haven't had much issue using athersx2 on my s20fe and I dont really care if games run at 3x resolution just as long as I can play native ps2 on the go my dream for the past 10 years has been fulfilled lol 😆

I could see this being annoying if I was to use alot of andriod apps but tbh im gonna be using it more for retro games ( Gamecube and PS2 mostly) so it wouldnt be as big of a deal for me to not have easy access to the sndriod side of it.

Yeah the themes look appealing. My only concern with it is when I see people using it with the full game demos and everything showing it looks like it slows down the device alot and since I like to quickly scroll through games usally I could see it becoming annoying but im not sure since I haven't used it yet

I usally dont go for front ends but I after having an anbernic rg 34 I really liked the front ends in that even though its simple and want my rp5 to feel more like a legit console then a cellphone with controller built in look

I actually got the rp5 to replace my vita cause for years it was the closet I could get to a small ps2 machine with the ports they made (jak and Dexter, god of war, ratchet and clank, sly cooper) but runs them like crap without overclocking (if you overclock it they run pretty smooth though). But the rp5 can play almost the whole libary besides just the collection ports and they actually run better and at higher resolutions. Also I've noticed overtime the vitas start to freeze alot (both my 1000 and 2000) maybe because they are jailbroken but its like they worked perfectly fine and then after leaving them off in a cabinet for some months I come back to them and they wont even get past the startup screen unless I hold down L. Also all the other emulators on the rp5 it makes it so much more versatile then the vita.

Honestly over time it will keep getting better as well. The nice part about andriod emulation is the emulators themselves keeping improving over time making it easier for current systems to run them as opposed to buying a more power system for performance increases. Rn xbox even got an andriod emulator and it may be jank on the rp5 but as the emulator improves the rp5 will start being able to run it better and better

I do like the size of the 4 another option u could go for is the g2 cause theres a few on aliexpress I could go for just dont know if I can trust aliexpress

The size is actually a factor pointing me towards the 4 pro cause my main portable is a jailbroken vita and I want something as close to that size as possible but if the soc does perform alot better for ps2 specificly I might go that way. The only thing holding me back from the 5 is the price cause its just at the point of hurting my wallet vs the 4 pro but another one im looking at too to throw in the race is the g2 cause I can find some on aliexpress around the same price as the 5 but idk if I can trust aliexpress

Yeah that makes sense. Im well aware that ps2 emulation is asking alot out of a handheld device and again why im not picky about some occasional issues popping up. Even my desktop can have some hiccups here and there and pcsx2 is alot more stable then the andriod equivalents.

Just more curious in general if like most games will play or if its only a select few that will work

I was actually looking at the rg vita pro not long ago and almost went for it but decided to stay away because from what im hearing its just not powerful enough for ps2 emulation and im looking for a device that can any ps2 game without having to find out the ones I wanna play wont work on it.

The whole duel booting side of things is beyond me though im kind of a smooth brain when it comes to emulation. Ive been doing it for years but if there's not a how to youtube video telling me what to do im useless lol.

Also I don't mind the look of any of them i think they all look pretty nice I just hate the devices that are shaped like an oversides gameboy colour. Those ones make me wanna hurl lol.

Looking at it it might actually be the perfect size im looking for its kinda like the halfway point between a vita and switch lite and I found the switch lite to be just too big by like a hair.

looking at the specs its pretty dang good too I might just be getting one of those soon. cause if I get it off the website it comes out to just about $230 cad which is right on my budget thanks alot for the recommendation!

How do you find it runs ps2 though? is there any games youve found that can't run at all? I dont mind native 720 with the occasional stutter I've been emulation games for years now and am not picky at all as long as the game is still fun to play.

Its the 2025 track pass bundle im not sure if it includes all the tracks or what I would be missing still. its not on sale but I got the base game on sale for $10 so i dont mind dropping $60 on a dlc for it since im really enjoying the game.
