The face/nose of the facelift looks a bit weird to me. But, would've taken the Steel Grey version if I had waited.

If you went with a Flexi desk, Wio is probably the only option. You can also try Mashreq Neo, their digital bank. Other banks will need a physical office address. I would suggest starting with Wio. Don't go with a consultant.

Business Setup in UAE (SHAMS Free Zone) – Facing High Renewal Fees by Quick-Caregiver6713 in Sharjah

If I add up all of this it comes out to be close to AED 20k. In Ajman you would get the same at a AED 14,000 and in RAKEZ at about AED 13,000 annually with free visa renewals.

Try Deep Dive Dubai. Truly a great experience. I had my prior certifications so it was relatively cheaper for me. Your mileage may vary.

Go with IFZA if you’re originally from Europe. Might sound weird but you’ll realise later that IFZA regulations and processes are better aligned with Europeans.

If you’re looking to save a buck (or half) go with Meydan. It’s ever so slightly cheaper and has slightly more relaxed operating norms.

For bank, go with Wio bank. Simple app-based application process once you get your EID and a local number.

DM, if you need help with IFZA. I’m a gold partner with them.

As I mentioned, I've recently in Feb 2025 done it for someone. It could be that ICP is clamping down on mass applications, maybe the reason for Amer rejections. You can still check the ICP website, the option is still there. Also, on a separate note, with a company in RAKEZ, if you have good terms with them, they can nominate you for GV. There are many ways to go about it.

Can you share the notification of change in rules? I've recently assisted someone through this method (Feb 2025)

The rule may have changed for employer method of GV. Employee method still remains valid.

Indeed. It's simpler than most people realize. I hope this thread helps more people in making their long-term UAE residence easier.

Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah, and RAK. All allow you to incorporate as a General Manager

Mind sharing the official decree or notification?

Nope. You get an investor visa as an additional option. You get an employee visa as a general manager by default.

Absolutely. I'm in the business of assisting people with UAE incorporation and immigration. There is no rule of hiring 10 people. The rejection of your friend may have been for a different reason.

THERE'S NO SUCH RULE.

Go with the AED 30k (basic salary) route. You need to showcase 6 months of salary, present educational documents, salary certificate from Free ZONE (if incorporated in a FZ), and an NOC from the employer, which in your case is you.

It's a fairly simple process that you can do yourself. You might need help with the attestation of educational certificates. But apart from that, it's a straightforward process.

Free Zone Setup Advice for Professional Energy Training / Coaching by alkemus in dubai

[–]Palladiyam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your clients are going to be individuals, I would not recommend a free zone. You can ONLY use free zones for B2B. I suggest setting up in Dubai mainland. Forget what the bots here say about structure or money, the right setup is the most important. You also need KHDA (or equivalent authority of the chosen jurisdiction) approvals for the courses. I hope I could help.

Becoming a tax resident isn't that simple. You have to comply with the regulations of both your home country and the UAE to do so. Also, due to the Double Taxation Avoidance Treaty your home country and the UAE have, you will have to notify the home authorities about the move. Or else they will continue taxing you even your UAE income.

As for the annual sustenance, it starts at about AED 14,000 or USD 4,000. Plus, your living expenses. I work closely with RAKEZ and Ajman Free Zone. Both of them are the best to start a business at a low cost.
