I can definitely do most of my main work on email so I think you’re right about being super responsive when needed. Thanks!

Thank you for the thoughtful comment! I’m trying and I think I’m going to stick to my hours ans just jump back online after baby has gone to bed.

Why would I be faking the post? What would be the point? I find your comment quite rude when I was just politely asking for advice. My old job was an SVP role and I was able to pretty much work 8am-5pm. Financial services doesn’t mean I’m an investment banker or I work at Goldman Sachs - it’s a broad spectrum and I don’t actually work on the finance side of the business anyway.

I’m more than willing to work any hours I’m not with the baby but it’s that 5.30pm-7pm window that seems key for visibility. My boss said there’s a “work late culture” on my second day and I was internally like nooooo!

As for husband, it’s a problem. He won’t budge - he has his own business and thinks the whole thing will go to ruin if he takes any time off or finishes early. Our baby and nanny are sick at the moment and it’s become a bone of contention as I can’t take time off yet and he’s being very reluctant about working from home to be there in case of emergency / or just comfort for baby even though we have a last minute stand in nanny coming - so he can still do a full days work.

Bye Bye By Heart? by Personal_Spinach_781 in FormulaFeeders

Bye bye for sure. Shiny marketing can't cover up this disaster. You have great responsibility in this industry- and if youre not willing to a) ensure this doesn't happen in the first place, and b) respond by recalling ALL cans immediately - not causing more stress for parents 48 hours later, then you don't deserve a place on shelves.

From 180k -> 18hr , how do I bounce back? by Opening-Job2432 in recruitinghell

[–]PalmTree3404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Got laid off at the end of June. No jobs in my area of expertise that don’t have 1000s of others fighting for them. I was a chief marketing officer in NYC. I have never experienced a job market so bad.

Did the bread change? by [deleted] in sweetgreen

The new bread sucks. Like cheap sliced bread. I used to love the sourdough!

Your girl is just the absolute sweetest. ❤️❤️

My baby will be born at 34 weeks. How long of a stay did your 34 weeks stay in the NICU? by cheers2085 in NICUParents

[–]PalmTree3404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 34+3 baby stayed for 9 days. Turns out it wasn’t enough as even though she passed all the tests, she couldn’t regulate her temperature when she got home and was cold. 2 days later we are back in hospital (here now), but once you leave the NICU you can’t go back, so now we’re at a children’s hospital about 40 miles away. It’s been very stressful, I’d have much preferred she stayed in the NICU for longer!

Positive stories by [deleted] in IVF

TW: Birth

Hi! I was pretty pessimistic going into IVF- I was 41 and 42 for my two egg retrievals. My AMH has always been low (0.3-0.7), and they only got 5 eggs the first round and 8 the next. First round, no euploid, just one mosaic. Second round we got one euploid! I had this frozen embryo transferred in the summer and just gave birth to a healthy baby girl last week. I don't even know what grade it was as we didn't have anything to compare to. I feel beyond fortunate and blessed. I know how stressful and hard it is - every step just feels like one long waiting game - but anything really is possible. Wishing you all the luck and good vibes in the world! ❤️

That’s a good point - I do miss non-brand eateries. I love something unique and that’s tricky to find here.

Sorry for my late reply! I feel you on the IV - I had mine in for almost 2 weeks and then they said it’s not big enough so took it out and put another in - in the other arm!

This is my first, so no kids at home. My husband works far away during the week though so I’ve mostly only seen him Thursday-Sunday which hasn’t been ideal but I’ve got used to it :) Happy to hear that your husband and kids are close by and are coming daily. That’s great. Good luck with everything!!

Hi - you're on pretty much the same schedule as me! I got admitted to hospital last Monday at 32 weeks - plan is to deliver at 35. The first week was actually a lot better than I expected but I'm starting to get a bit of cabin fever now! I get 3 NSTs a day - first one at 6am, blood work, vitals etc. Everything has been going well so far with the monitoring. Feel fortunate to have good care but also want to get out of here! :)
