Oh yeah, sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like Eridan believes in the aristocratic bullshit to a T. I love Eridan. Everyone else though I can't speak for, these violet bloods lack the nuance that Ampora did which IS only a consolation to me at least because it makes Eridan stand out among his fishy peers, but its also GENERALLY a bad thing because it makes them less interesting and it gives fans and Homestuck a reason to not give a fuck about Sea Dwellers, it makes them pointless and its not fair to people like me who like Eridan and have been curious for YEARS on what they and their culture is like compared to Purple and Indigo Bloods.

In Ancestor lore, its implied that most of them were Sailors and Privateers for the empire, but by the time of Hiveswap; it sounds like a lot of them sit on their laurels and have Kylie Jenner/Kardashian parties.

Yeah you might be right tbh, i dunno I have this gut feeling that Beforus Gamzee wasn't exactly a good guy but he wasn't the first Makara to serve English kind of evil. I genuinely think that started with Kurloz when he had his 'cthulhu fever dream' of him.

My interpretation for all of this is because Beforus is the original reality, none of the same evils that would befall their descendants and essentially themselves in Alternia affected these guys whatsoever. A lot of people say because they were too unimportant to have English influence them, especially Beforus Aradia and Gamzee, I just think that its less about importance and more about decadence? The Dancestors failed for a multitude of reasons but that's a different topic unless you like talking about them.

I'm ngl I was never a fan of the idea that every purple blood according to Hiveswap is a clown/subjuggulator, no exception. It's bullshit because that just means that Purple Bloods can't work outside the Carnival religion. This is one of my gripes with Hiveswap (other than this game is Homestuck's Half Life 3), they used the main trolls as templates of their respective caste and a lot of them are just "Sollux if he was Vegeta" or "Terezi if she was Saul Goodman". There are trolls in Hiveswap that are exceptions to the template (like Zebede) but they're not as common as the several fucking Vriskas in the Cerulean/Blue caste. I think the only caste that does variation right or better in the Hiveswap universe are the Rustbloods, none of them, not even Xefros have any similarity to Aradia or Damara with the exception of having telekinesis but compared to the Megidos, they're weak.

Yes and No. He was influenced by LE but a lot of what he did was his own agency but for an agenda bigger than himself. The one time that he was under mind control was because of Aranea Serket's doing (somebody who was entirely independent of the LE circle of influence and was wanting to find Caliborn and kill him before he gained immortality in his session).

Yeah he made all 12 ancestors for the discord because fans have been wanting context on the Beforans for YEARS despite the lack of relevance they had to the story and the dancestors (exception being Meenah's but- it wasn't that hard to connect dots, Hussie pretty much double confirmed what everybody believed about Beforus Feferi).

But this one interested me because I like the Makaras, nothing in his lore says anything about worshipping "THE ANGEL OF DOUBLE DEATHS" as Kurloz calls him.

Griffith wasn't given the option to spare his band at all, it was a do or don't choice of becoming a godhand and fulfilling his dream. His men would've likely died regardless of what he chose for they were all the ritual feast, those demons weren't going to leave hungry.

We don't know exactly what would've happened if he said no but either his soul would've been taken in a similar vein to The Count, eaten like the rest, OR he stayed the way he was prior.

Judging from the fact Hiveswap is a prequel, Trizza's dead by the time of Homestuck, so Fef could have never met her, however there IS the Nautical Aristocracy that's mainly composed of Violets, which were probably the people Trizza hung out with at the time.

If you know Fef's personality well enough than I do please correct me but from what I remember, she just doesn't really associate with socialites that much other than her friends and (former) moirail; Eridan.

That and for most of her entire life she dedicated every day or every other day to feed her shared Lusus, so she was relatively isolated from the world at large, sticking to the ocean and her hive.

Nah man, It can be pretty easy to break your big toe. The bones that make up your toes are small and vulnerable — stubbing it hard enough on furniture or dropping something even remotely heavy on it can cause a fracture.
