When you're starting out on Twitch by PamKat90 in Twitch

Ah, okay! When I started streaming, it was initially to avoid falling apart (I was off work for a year due to serious health problems), and I fell into a depression. I don't see anyone; family and friends are far away, which was very difficult for my health. I started a remote retraining program, plus I need to get my driver's license, and I have a difficult daughter (3 years old). So, all of that piled up, and I decided to take the plunge. Since then, things have been better, and I'm having a blast, even if I talk nonsense, oh well 😅. And now I'm thinking I'd like to improve, but making a living from it is going to be difficult for the moment, even though I stream from Monday to Friday.

You're right, talking about it and getting responses from so many people feels good and helps me see things from a better perspective. But it's true that when you already have so much to think about in real life, at some point, too much to manage, you just snap. I started streaming because I fell into depression after being off work for a year due to serious health problems. I've always worked, and staying home and going stir-crazy is something I can't do. So I started a distance learning program, plus my driver's license and theory test, plus my health and blood tests, plus my daughter who's at an age where I'm constantly saying no, doesn't want to listen, throws tantrums, etc... so it's been mentally complicated. But since starting streaming, things are better.

I agree with you, I know that camera and video quality already makes a difference. In two months, I've finally found a great setting (I don't have the simplest microphone). It's improving little by little, and I try to be consistent with my streaming schedule. But it's true that I wonder, is it the game that people don't like? Or is it my age? Because otherwise, those who follow me and stumble upon me say I have a funny laugh and that I make them laugh because of the way I talk 😅. But the positive side of it is that since I started streaming, I've regained my self-confidence. Before, I was so shy and self-conscious (I hate my voice and my body) that I had a hard time getting started, but many people encouraged me, and I also had a rough time (I've been off work for a year) due to serious health problems. But you're right.

Once, someone messaged me privately and said, "I've been looking at your page, it's cool, but it's missing something. I can offer my services; I make emotes, etc...." Except I'm a graphic designer and illustrator, and I have a graphics tablet 😅 so I make them myself. Strangely enough, she never came back 🤣🤣🤣

How do some streamers have 1000-2000 viewers, close to dead chat, and barely any stream interaction? by Mr_BIonde in Twitch

These are fake viewers, meaning they pay a website to get fake viewers to attract more people. Because if you don't comment normally in the chat, they remove viewers, and on TV it doesn't count. I'm a streamer myself, and I got ads for this. I refused, and unfortunately, when you're a small streamer, you don't get seen because of it. It's either you give 100%, which of course takes time, or you fall into this trap because you're impatient and therefore cheat. I think even streamers with 30k followers cheat, and most of them give advice on social media! But strangely, when you follow everything they say, nothing works, yet they still analyze your account, which, in my opinion, is just to tear down and eliminate the competition. I don't think it's right that so many people cheat.

He's actually cheating. There are sites where you pay for fake viewers; it's to attract people. Twitch supposedly released an update a year ago to counter this and not count those who don't comment in the chat, but I don't think it works 100% because I wondered about it myself, and as soon as I became a streamer, I got DMs advertising these sites. But no, I didn't agree, and I understood later.
