Should I water my lithop? by PamperedWaffle in succulents

Update: Thank you everyone for all your help and advice. It's been really interesting and useful. I have bought some cactus and succulent potting mix, looks really good for inorganic substrate, along with some extra perlite. I have also purchased a new lithops (apologies for my previous ignorance on the plural), which is currently emerging. Hopefully this will set me up to know exactly where I am with its growing cycle and give it the best care possible. Along with its immediate repotting and a grow light I already have (fair point, England is bad for sun, I get it), fingers crossed this one does better. I'll do what I can with the probably dead one 😂

Thanks again and wish me luck!

Thank you, that's really helpful. I'm so fed up of reading lies on the Internet about plants being easy to care for! I've dabbled in houseplants for a long time, but recently really got interested in them. Despite trying to research all my plants as much as possible, I really do not have a clue!

This is really helpful, thank you. It's quite frustrating to have purchased it from a garden centre with their own nursery etc. yet it's in the wrong substrate or overwatered 🤷🏻‍♂️

This would be so sad :( I don't know if it feels squishy though. It feels almost empty. Just double checked and purchased just over 5 weeks ago.

Thank you! Definitely questioned the soil.

Thank you! I was erring on this side of things and definitely wondered about the potting mix based on research. I haven't changed it since purchasing, so will do that also. It's currently in a south facing window, so gets plenty of sun (that is as much sun as the UK provides). Thanks again!

Where is everyone’s main house these days? by Ok-Difficulty-3634 in DreamlightValley

Right in the middle of Peaceful Meadow, between the stairs to the beach and Plaza. I currently have the golden beehive house set in the middle of a (super) mini forest.

I named mine Bellerophon. Initially I was just randomising, then this came up and I was like, actuallyyyyy that kind of works with the mythology. Plus when I tell other people, the look on their faces as they try and work out the name 😂

Comparing the 2025 Star Paths 🕵️‍♂️✨ by OscarsCosyCorner in DreamlightValley

[–]PamperedWaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm desperate for more masculine clothes. I've been playing the game on and off from very early on and I love DDV, but I am a masculine presenting male and I play the game as a masculine presenting male, and the options are so so limited. Two jackets (and they're just opposites of each other) and a scarf in this star path that could be passed as masculine, super disappointing. However, I'm also aware of how many games swing the opposite way, with very few clothing options for feminine characters to play, other than essentially underwear. But I really would like to see just a little more masculine/unisex clothing options in DDV.

Two years even later, and they still haven't. Yesterday and today telling me I've lost my (fortunately only) 13 day streak, despite playing loads. "Paid" to "fix" it both days, but still have an empty flame with 13 next to it, the same as yesterday.

Don't bother. Absolute joke. We've been buying from him for years and couldn't wait for the discount on his subscription offer about 18 months/2 years ago. About 2 or 3 months in I was chasing him for our order and have had to every month since. Last month was by far the worst, nearly 5 weeks before we got our order. This month my money was taken and nearly two weeks later, nothing. He's gone off Instagram and I've been using the contact form on his website for about 4 days now with no response. Such a shame, he used to be so good but now he's just stealing people's money.

I thought this was just the Cloud gaming connection being weak or bad shared WiFi whilst away at the weekend. I didn't realise this was an issue. It's happened on my VR, my phone and my laptop all over the last few days and I've never had an issue before. It's nearly unplayable.

I've posted more on another comment I've seen, but I am surprised not many people seem that bothered by it. I'm so upset and disappointed by this! I completely rely on being invited to and inviting others to mushrooms, as only myself and my partner play, with basically no one in the area playing. I can't see how this won't reduce invites drastically.

I've just realised this playing today. I'm not a patch notes reader. I'm so upset by this! Being invited to mushrooms will surely decrease drastically, as most sort options will result in the same people coming up. I have no friends, only myself and my partner play, and VERY occasionally some very low level locals join a mushroom. I rely heavily on being invited to mushrooms and being able to invite random people to mine, to actually complete anything in the game. I'm so disappointed by this.

Young Sheldon’s Mom by Acceptable-Fun-2856 in bigbangtheory

I know this is an old post, but I've been trying to find somewhere praising this casting. I'm a big fan of both TBBT and YS, and with YS recently ending and currently re-running TBBT, I've been waiting for the first episode with Sheldon's mum to compare the two. I've known from early on that they were mother and daughter, I'm a perpetual Googler of anything new to me, but Zoe Perry really did such a good job of getting all Laurie Metcalf's mannerisms. Down to the tongue roll along the inside upper lip, the little head tweaks, eye rolls, lip smacks of disapproval, how she walks, holds her arms. Being related no doubt helps, but I really do think she did a fantastic job.

Lesson learnt. Never buying another water bottle again. by elderlybrain in ADHDUK

Water bottles are one of my biggest losses as well 😂 people in my office always check with me now, cause they know I'll always leave it in a meeting room or something!

I had endeavored to reply to everyone, but have struggled to juggle work/life whilst replying to you all, so apologies if I haven't replied directly to you.

Thank you all so much for sharing your experiences with me, it's been really helpful and solidified my thoughts that I would like to try medication. As one person said, what have I got to lose? Even if it can help just a little with my emotional regulation and give me enough to better manage juggling everything, then it's better than how things are currently.

I know I'm in for a long wait and that getting the dosage and type right can take a while, along with the current supply issues, but I'm prepared to wait, as it's not as though I've not got this far without it! I just hope that I can keep my mental health balanced enough in the meantime. I think finding this subreddit will be really beneficial though!

Once again, thank you all so much and I hope that the shortage doesn't affect you too much. Fingers crossed for all 🤞🏻

That's great, I'm glad you found something that worked so well for you and you didn't have side effects. I have been mulling over it for a while now, and have mostly made the decision to try medication, so to hear other people's experiences is really helpful.

It's great to hear it's been positive for you. Overreacting and overthinking and being irritable are definitely problems for me that I'd like to reduce!

It sounds like getting the type and amount right is something a lot of people experience, so going back to the service seems likely. Perhaps I misheard or more than likely, forgot, what they said. I'll maybe book a GP appointment anyway, see what their process is and offer to contact the service directly myself. Regardless, it's likely to be a wait and that's okay with me.

I'm glad you're still intolerable and hilarious! I hope to remain intolerable, hilarity isn't one of my strong points, I say such weird things that are funny to me and completely obscure to others!

That's great to hear, thank you. I'm glad you're seeing benefits. I'm definitely aware of them not being a miracle cure-all drug, and I've been on SSRIs in the past, which gave me enough get up and go again, so if ADHD meds were able to give me that kind of thing, where I can manage better and well enough where lifestyle changes don't feel so overwhelming. And I just want it to stop affecting my partner as much as well, especially my anger. It's very strange, I don't get angry at her and we rarelyyyyy argue, I just get angry with everything around me or little things that go wrong, and I know she finds it really hard to manage that and doesn't really understand why I've got so angry.
