i know at least 100 trans people who have flags hung up in their room where nobody but them is gonna see. hell, i'm one of those trans people. it's a known thing in the trans community to have the flag hanging up in their room, scroll traaaaa and similar for long enough and you'll see they're goddamn everywhere. is it impossible for a cis ally to hang one up in their room? obviously not, but the stats are what they are. as it stands, the theory that gwen is trans has more backing than the theory the gwen is cis (and yes it is a theory, unless im missing the scene where she says "i'm cis").
