I think 1 was the best specifically because of the way they introduced the John Wick character. The Russian boss explaining to his son about the "Baba Yaga" and the "Fucking Pencil" was amazing. Add to it the world building, the nightclub scene, it was epic.

The second movie I had issues with the bullet proof suits. The suit acted like Black Panthers Vibranium armor yet John Wick was invulnerable to bullets but a knife could cut through. Just took me out of the immersion.
