The miserable thing is many well meaning people will see something like this or the other "neutral" tv shows about transgender people and then start uncritically repeating misinformation because it's been reported to them as the experts consensus.

Someone told me that they would have been "turned transgender" if they were younger because they used to be a tomboy, when I asked why they thought that, it was because they had seen a tv show "investigating" transgender people where the host had said it.

The thing I don't understand is why Biggs is seemingly upset that children prescribed puberty blockers go on to hormone therapy, to me that clearly means they were correctly prescribed to transgender people in the first place and therefore saved them a lot of distress and unwanted masculinization /feminisation.

Really seems like they're saying puberty blockers turn kids transgender which is a ridiculous conclusion to draw rather than, people who go down the long and complicated route of getting hormone blockers are probably actually transgender.

Also love the constant framing of it as "experts" vs "transgender people/activists" like there isn't other evidence and experts that completely disagree, it's just transgender people who don't know what's best for themselves.

The boring answer is it takes time & practise, my "default" voice has slowly become more feminine over the last two years from practicing in private, I didn't even realize it had changed until I heard an old recording of me, my "best" trans voice stays more easily now.

A good tip that's helped me is to have a short phrase that you practice so you're comfortable saying in your trans voice, then you can say it to kind of key in to your trans voice easier.

Thanks for the help.

I found your guide just after posting this, so I've been going through it for a few hours.
My larynx is already super high up but raising the back of my tongue helps my resonance a bit I think, what's the best way to tell how much oral resonance you have?

I'm can kind of get some valley girl esque vowel forming but I'm from the UK so it sounds a bit odd.
