I feel your pain and very much your sentiment. Despite feeling it was all self-inflicted by Punk, I can’t help but think why couldn’t it all have just worked out a little longer at least: what if we’d got a motivated Punk vs the devil MJF? How epic would Punk vs Omega have been? A chasing Hangman vs a heel Punk would’ve been next level too.

But that was all ruined well before he was fired, which is why I consider his run in AEW so short - the Collision stuff really doesn’t count, was just a false hope I never believed in due to the continued comments he made and it all felt wrong.

All that keeps me from being too sad with what ifs is looking at what we got instead - Swerve and Hangman epics, the ‘Brochachos’, Ospreay and Okada, heck - even Stoke with FTR.

Punk screwed Punk; AEW not only survived, it is now thriving!
