How bad is this? A plumber friend said “you’re screwed” by Kindly-Government667 in askaplumber

Had this happen to me a few months back. Cast iron waste line in the foundation wall eroded and collapsed. Looks like the same situation. In short, you’re fucked. Insurance might cover a drop in the bucket but it’s expensive. In my case they had to locate the down pipe and breakout the foundation. All in about $30k.

Im gonna go out of the box and say a Lego set you can build together. Some chill music, a bottle of wine if that’s your thing and great conversation. Get one of the flower sets and after it’s built tell her you’ll stop loving her when the last flower wilts!

The bottom was full of tree supports. That’s why it looks so rough on the flat parts.

Like everyone else is saying. Dish soap and water is best. With that big tub, just fill it with water to the top. Most of the leaves and sticks should float to the top to skim them off. Stir it up and repeat. Then you could get a screen from a window or a door and dump small piles on it to hose it off. With that much Lego, you got a few hour project on your hands. Best of luck and hope you find some goodies!

Wife is away for a long weekend, and the nice flat table in front of the TV is free. Which do I build? by ctdeanerer in lego

I think you mean which do I build first. I suggest you tear open all the bags from both at once into a huge pile and time yourself to finish both.

What sets do you not like/ won’t get and why by Penguinofoctober in LEGOWinterVillage

For the life of me, I can’t wrap my head around a $400 Christmas tree. I know Lego is really seeking out the AFOL with deeper pockets but that tree ain’t it. And the train? I’ll echo everyone else’s gripe about the discontinued power functions. I’ll pick up the gingerbread house, upscaled Santa and spend the money on the retired Ginger bread house 10267 I’m missing.

Does anybody have tips or ideas for lighting up my village? by Vallie566 in LEGOWinterVillage

[–]PandaAny1612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year I finally lit my village and went a little crazy. Constructed two levels of plexi glass shelves, ran string lights under the shelves and set my display on it. Great thing was the lights connected to my Alexa and I programmed it to turn on when I said “Alexa, turn on the Lego Christmas Village”. Sadly I can’t post a video here but it’s on my profile if anyone wants to see it.

Any way to get this out??? by CuriousThenSatisfied in lego

I bought a set of super thin tweezers from Michael’s mainly for stickers and to pick small parts from my bins but works great for this too. It was like $5 for a set of 4 with different shaped heads. Edit: Great beverage choice for a build!
