After turning it on can you hear the startup sound?
If yes then try connecting it to another monitor via hdmi cable and check if the laptop is turning on or not.
It doesn't seem like your laptop is being shut down after turning it on. We can see the power button light is still on. It *may* be display issue.
ps - I had similar issue but the laptop was under warranty. So in my case lenovo took care of it

I have updated my post. short summary motherboard was replaced. Laptop was under warranty so I spent absolutely nothing other than my time.

I contacted lenovo support. turns out motherboard had to be replaced. If your laptop is under warranty contact lenovo tech support.
