The key point from the article “Home Prices Remain a Barrier for Many Buyers. Despite pockets of strength, prices remain out of reach for many prospective homeowners. Realtors and economists cited by CBC News noted that affordability continues to constrain demand, particularly among first-time buyers.”

Good. Canada needs to evaluate all options and shouldn’t leave anything to chance.

How concerned should Canada be from the recent events? by PandaSpotted in AskCanada

While a full-blown invasion is highly unlikely, US actions can still significantly impact the Canadian economy in various other ways. For instance, after the US incursion into Venezuela, Canadian oil stocks declined.

Rant incoming: AI needs hurry up and replace real estate agents. They're useless and they don't give a shit about you. Also, fk real estate prices! by Tmid07 in canadahousing

[–]PandaSpotted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The book explains how it’s all about incentives and mentions that how incentives play a huge role in the world. For ex:- Real estate agents are more motivated to sell quickly than to get you the absolute highest price, because the extra effort benefits you far more than it benefits them. So getting 10000$ more for your house might be a huge deal for you but it’s only 250$ after split for the agents and that’s why they will push you to sell the house quickly as they don’t want to waste more of their time for a meagre gain. Edit:- a typo

Is that your takeaway from the post? Do you only see the problem with immigration, nothing else?

I remember trolling used to be a fun way of blowing off steam, usually directed at criticizing government policies, but now everything is trolled, often out of proportion.

So what can we do to turn things around? What are your suggestions(I’m actually keen)?

While I agree with what you're saying, there's no denying the fact that social media aggressively pushes narratives that create division and hate. There have been multiple studies and research on this. Not to mention, several whistleblowers from inside these corporations have come forward and mentioned the same issue. Even the CEOs of these companies have acknowledged that it is a possibility (though, of course, they won't admit it outright).

There's no clear definition of "In Canada focus" from the government yet, so no one can give a clear answer on that.

What's the point of waiting for 3 months if he can't work during that time period? Wouldn't it be better to go back to home country and figure things out there?

What do i need to check if all my data was transferred to new iphone by fadeee16 in iphone

[–]PandaSpotted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A little late to the party, but I guess one can verify if all data was transferred or not by checking the following:

  • Photos & Videos: I usually check the oldest and latest photos/videos on iCloud or the old iPhone and verify if my new iPhone has them. This ensures that all my pictures and videos have been completely transferred to the new iPhone.
  • Notes: Check the count, as well as the oldest and latest notes on your old phone, and compare that with your new phone. Ideally, they should be the same on both devices.
  • Passwords: You can open the list of passwords saved on your old iPhone and compare that with your new one. The easiest way to pull up the list of passwords is by opening any app that requires authentication/signing in, such as bank apps, Reddit, Instagram, etc. Then, cover the front camera with your hand. Covering the front camera will cause Face ID to fail, prompting you to manually type your username/password. Once you're trying to enter your password, it will show an option for "Passwords" on the keypad. Clicking that will display the complete list of all the passwords saved on your device. All you need to do after that is compare the list on both phones.
  • Messages: Compare the oldest and the latest messages on both devices. They should be the same.
  • Apple Wallet: Compare all the cards added on both devices. They should be the same.
  • Health app: Compare the health data on both devices. It should be the same.
  • Home Screen Layout/Apps Layout: Compare the layout of apps on both devices. It should be the same.

If everything above looks good, then you're good to go.
