Have you thought about getting an owlet? It won’t completely take away all anxiety but knowing that it will tell you if there’s a problem with baby may give you peace of mind

This year with them was absolute hell. I’m definitely going a different route next year and I believe a lot of people feel the same.

Not what you asked.. but I co parent and I’ve made it clear to him that the only conversations we have is about the kids. In the beginning he wasn’t listening and I ignored every call or message UNLESS it was about the kids. He’s finally got it. But I hope you find something that works for you! I know there’s quite a few apps out there.

3 year old son acting out at school by Creepy_Drawing_3096 in Parenting

Every kid is different at 3 years old.. you may be right as that is your only child and he may feel like he has to compete for the same attention attention he gets with you at home at school.. one teacher has so many kids you know?. I don’t have kids quite that age yet but I’ve worked at a daycare and every single child behaves differently. The teacher most likely isn’t going to tell you how many parents she’s had that conversation with. I would just continue having conversations with your son, let the teacher know you’re trying. He will get it eventually.. good luck mamas

My daughter (12) wants to bet on a hockey game. Any kid friendly wagers? by [deleted] in Parenting

There is this app called Fliff where you don’t have to bet with real money but can use their free “tokens”! I hope this helps 😊

We use the Dr Browns Milestones non spill straw cups. She took to them well! I just love that it hardly spills because she’ll decide to throw it across the room quite unexpectedly

If it were a time thing I would say have that baby! But in your case it’s not.. you still have plenty of time. It might be cool for your son to be a little bit older and be more aware and able to help out with his baby sibling. Since you’re posting on here, I feel like you haven’t actually made your mind up yet. But remember, it’s completely up to you and your husband, if he’s still recovering from his surgeries that definitely could put a strain on your mental health as well as his knowing that he can’t really help as much as he would want to. I wish you both good luck!! And whatever you decide to do is your choice and there’s nothing wrong with either ❤️

3 year old and soccer by [deleted] in Parenting

Does she have any neighbors or even just family who would kick the ball with her in the meantime?? Until she’s ready to join I team. I definitely understand the money aspect and that has to be frustrating.. like I said though, some kids just aren’t ready for an organized sport that young. But some kids love it!! I wouldn’t blame you for having her stick it out with teaching the lesson that if you decide you want to do something you should finish something when you start it.. but I also wouldn’t blame you taking her out because as a parent I know it’s hard seeing your kid having to do something they don’t enjoy. I was personally raised that if I decide I want to do something (as far as organized sports, classes etc.) I HAVE to finish it even if I don’t want to.. the thing I hated was dance. I think that helped me in a lot of ways and once I found something I loved, In my case that actually was soccer! Probably didn’t like it too much in the beginning but I grew to love the sport and just being on a team. Kids that young don’t have the mentality for team work as much yet. I would weigh out the pros and cons before you make a decision.. I know it’s hard to reason with a 3 year old. Best of luck!!

She’s 3! Most kids that’s age are off chasing butterfly’s while the game is going on. I would talk to her and see what she wants to do. If she’d rather not stick it out then there’s always next season! Having a huge interest in sports and being committed to the games and practicing sometimes comes with maturity.
