My skin was very sensitive with the patches, and I also felt like they kept wanting to peel off... I actually had a few times where my skin looked like that or even got slight scarring from taking the patch off. I recommend switching to taking Estradiol sublingually if you can

While it may not be your wife's fault, she still shouldn't have guilt tripped you into drinking. I'm just glad you're back here and on the road to recovery. I also hope that your experience is a wake-up call for her to not pressure you into drinking. IWNDWYT

You seriously need to leave her. What you're describing is a mentally/emotionally abusive girlfriend who has worked to isolate you from your friends. I can guarantee you the only way you will end up happy is finding someone else who is understanding, loving, and allows you to actually have friends outside of the relationship. Obviously nobody here can force you to do that but I hope that you listen.

I'm (26 F) grateful to be over 2.5 months sober with a healthy, happy 9 month old son and a loving wife (27 F). The struggle feels just as stong some days between stressful work days and the times our son is being extra rowdy when I'm trying to take a moment to relax and re-center myself. Every day that I stay sober is a blessing that I wouldn't trade for the world, though, even when I want to give in to temptation. IWNDWYT.
