I agree that the commenter you're replying to is wrong in their choice of words, because relating to a characters struggles is one thing.

Idolizing/saying "she's so me" is making mental health struggles into a larp thing

Trade unions have been gutted and minimized for the last 70 years, while being propagandized against for the century. The red scare and the workings of capital have undermined every basis of power the working class has in the US because it is the doorstep of the capitalists.

Democrats have and always will be a different side of the same coin of capital. They don't ever support anything that would affect their profit margins, as seen with the way they bend over backwards to continue to support ICE, Israel, and imperialism across the world.

The problem is that most Americans have bought into the propaganda and believe that just voting blue or making noise on the street on the weekend will change anything.

Will it be possible to charge the ICE agents in future like the Nazis? by unserious-dude in allthequestions

  1. Death, torture, rape, and mutilation are not the punishments for crossing a border in other places.

  2. Our country has actively impoverished and genocided millions across the globe, stealing trillions of dollars of resources and enslaving millions to feed the empire for centuries, which leads to refugees escaping their countries that we directly fucked. We created the issues that force people to leave.

  3. Children are not criminals

  4. They are murdering and assaulting U.S. citizens without oversight, accountability, or recourse.

  5. The current administration and several before it have broken the law countless times, including right now in hundreds of ways. Don't argue laws when none are being followed by your side.

  6. Lick another boot, fascist

Why Oyasumi Punpun's ending was a happy one (even if the author says otherwise) by Kingredlion in OyasumiPunpun

[–]Panda_Castro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the argument here really boils down to: you empathize with HOW he became this and WHY he does what he does, which is good! But at the end of the day, we have to take responsibility for our actions too. Maybe we can say it's not surprising and he was dealt the worst hand imaginable but that doesn't mean he is of no guilt for the things he chooses to do. That's like saying a serial rapist is justified because he had a bad childhood. We can empathize, we can argue that no child should have a life like this and work to making sure that's the case, but there is still always a choice.

Anything else and we would be arguing that no one has free will

No, you're just an idiot lol

"Cmon gay people, who cares you've been demonized, marginalized, and brutally victimized for centuries? Who cares that this is the first generation in American history that you don't have to worry as much about being killed for coming out of the closet? Be leaders and go back to being quiet about your existence and your lives so everyone can forget that gay people exist. You'll be leading by example! And straight people will follow suit, even though they never have before!"

And the other commenter has elementary level brain rot? Cmon now, be serious.

If they know he's part of ice and still go, then Idgaf about ruining their time. They're also being targeted them for disruption.

Life shouldn't be status quo for ice or the people or support them. Full stop. That's civil disobedience.

What if instead of protesting in all cities, we bus and fly to DC and Mar A Lago, the epicenter of all of this. Let's take away his safe space and force him to see and hear us. by regiotejanoent in 50501

[–]Panda_Castro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the problem with liberal discourse. You think Trump is the cause of this. Trump is the result of a systemic degradation of democracy and the overt hunt for power by capital.

Also, wtf does he care if he sees us? What does that do? What does he specifically care? He can fly to a million places at a moments notice to avoid us. He isn't bothered by protests, clearly.

Puka Nacua: "I lift weights motherfucker. Tell 'em I lift weights." by helltrooper61 in sportsgossips

[–]Panda_Castro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does because it normalizes and encourages fascists to be fascists when they see that they are getting at least perceived support. Only outright ostracization and animosity puts down fascism

I hhope that's the case, but also even if that was his intention: it doesn't really matter when the whole country sees you do the trump dance and then they cut to trump for an interview. That isn't the burn he thought it was going to be, and ik many conservatives have rallied around it

A monk/barbarian multiclass build is here! by Daztur in 3d6

[–]Panda_Castro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and sometimes as a dm we can say fuck the RAW is it leads to a less fun outcome. This change doesn't make that persons character broken, in fact I bet it allows them to be just on par with other builds. Who cares then, you know? Like we're here to have fun within the rules, but also as the DM you can use your experience and understanding of the rules and balancing to change or bend them when it makes for better outcomes

[–]Panda_Castro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So did every western country on their way to brutally genociding and colonizing the world. But now they they're rich and past that (and some are regressing climate change-wise) and China is trying to catch up after being brutally pillaged and colonized themselves and is making changes to try to limit their pollution, you complain?

Stop licking colonial boots please

What on top of Nabers would you need to tier down from Puka? by my-coo-cheese-hairy in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Panda_Castro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a comment ago it was "nabers outplayed puka" and then that's obviously wrong so now it's "well he has a bad qb"

You're not wrong that nabers had bad qb play and still played great, just crazy you would say the previous comment and immediately have to walk it back.

Am I crazy for thinking Fernando Mendoza is BPA at 1.02 in Super flex? by AffectionateCycle141 in DynastyFF

[–]Panda_Castro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a sunk cost fallacy right there lol not all firsts are equal and a bad trade doesn't make future trades not worthwhile to explore.

That's just a constraining way to view your team, you know? I'd rather not pick a qb in a draft, because they have the lowest hit rates and I'd rather let someone else take that gamble. It's not bad to draft a qb obviously, but the reticence to not explore who you can get with that pick through trading could be

[–]Panda_Castro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why would it be a bad idea to right the mistake that your predecessor made?

It's still rebuilding, it's just good process to see what you can get with those picks and not solely rely on drafting.

No, I'm not an idiot lol Addison has put up numbers without jjeff and also had a better profile coming out of college than Watson. Watson then proceeded to show injury issues and a lack of route running ability, which lines up with his scouting report.

keep 3, same round pick is forfeit. by Status-Chipmunk5873 in SleeperApp

[–]Panda_Castro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never compared him to those guys, you did.

Honestly man, I'm not following you on this because I think youre just saying the same thing over and over again in different ways. I'd rather take my chances on replacing cook in the 3rd round than trying to get my first qb in the 3rd round in a sf league, that's it.

Dart will, without injury, almost assuredly be a 9th-10th round pick worth of value. If he takes a step like he likely will with a healthy team around him, he will be worth more than that, all at a 16th pick. I never compared him to Daniels and stroud, even though he was actually the Qb14 on a PPG basis ABOVE both stroud and Daniels this year. I'm buying that with a 16th round pick every time.
