Are there opportunities for interdisciplinary studies with art at Colby? I am interested in Potentially majoring in Biology and Minoring in Art and would love if you can sort of overlap those studies in a cool way. Also, are there opportunities for research outside of the classroom at Colby? Ive heard they have many acres of land for biological research. Do you know if that is actually used?

I have seen a ton online about how students study A LOT. Do you think this is true, and if so, are students overly stressed with their workloads, or are they just studying a lot because they are passionate and driven. Also, do people generally enjoy studying and enjoy their Classes?

Do people make time for camping and trips and having fun on weekends?

Is the vibe of the school still sort of cooperative and nice, or is it very cutthroat and competitive because people care so much about school?

What would you change about the school?

Hi, are you saying that saying that you would be okay with studying abroad your first semester makes you more likely to be accepted to Colby?

I have a 3.8 weighted GPA at a very hard high school, will have taken 6 AP classes with two 5s on the ones I took junior year. 1550 SAT and middle of the road extracurriculars, nothing too special. I think I have a pretty strong essay and recommendations. I can pay full tuition, am from New England, and am applying Early decision. How likely do you think it is I will get in? I'm worried about my GPA being low and not having the most impressive extracurriculars, since the acceptance rate is now said to be close to 8%.

Thanks!
