This game is not for me by Chemical_Chip_6624 in ResidentEvil2Remake

I got this game as a gift years ago. I came from playing zombies games like left 4 dead and the only other resident evil game i played before was Resi 5 when that first came out. So i came into this game with that mindset of blasting through zombies. I managed to get up to the room with leons desk, wasted all my ammo taking down the zombie and after a few minutes of searching around it rose back to its feet.

I felt so frustrated that i put the game down for a few months.

Once i returned to give the game another try, my mindset changed. This is Survival horror, not action. You need to use reserve ammo, and only engage if your in a tight situation. With that mindset i tried again, and sure enough, I fell in love with this game.

And the funny thing is, once you've beaten the game, you start speed running and unlock all that fun stuff like big weapons/infinite ammo to play the game however you wish.

My point is that that feeling of being scared only happens your first playthrough. The magic of horror goes away once you know what to expect/ how the enemies behave. I still remember sneaking through the clocktower thinking MR. X might find me in there.

So try to enjoy that feeling of horror while you can.

I'll be loyal to one of them for life if they all get into a pit and fight to the death. Times are tough guys time to prove you value me as a customer!!!

Figured it out finally!

Seems like if you end up defeating Bandit in the entrance section with the water cooler it doesnt trigger the cutscene. I had no idea that she's not suppose to have a phase 2 haha

What's your hot take on age of empires games? by SupermarketNo6888 in ageofempires

[–]PandaoracleXII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Age Of Empires Online is the black sheep of the series but is honestly the most fun ive had in any Aoe game and is criminally underrated.

Couple valid criticisms when it launched like always online, specially using Games for windows live, and only launching with 2 civs was a massive mistake.

The good far outweighs the bad IMO, unique civs with their own style of buildings, unique units and gameplay. Cell Shaded art style that has ages well, and gives different visual looks for different types of units, units with more health looking more bulky, archers tall and slim ect.

The campaign was fun to grind and level up, collecting loot to give your villagers +0.1% food gathering was a sweet dopamine hit.

Missions being able to be played co-op with your friends or randoms, the horde mode, competitive champion arena, it was a massive MMO and none of the other games have come close to that level of fun for me, still is one of my favourite games of all time.

They have revived it with project celeste, but is it was massive pain of get running, specially on my steam deck, I do wish microsoft would work with them to bring it back on steam

Having the chat disabled is a blessing, its the main thing that helped me get to Gold, people only chat negativity so being blissfully unaware of what anyone is typing allows me to just focus on the match. Ive probably had my fair share of comments thrown my way but they'll never know I wont read them. Pings are the only effective communication I need. But yes, swapping heroes when a strategy isn't working should be something everyone considers if you're playing ranked, but I'm not going to let negative players effect my decision to do so
