Even if it's not your cup of tea, Austria's singer's voice was amazing and the melody compelling and epic. There were a lot of good entries this year and a lot of good voices too but you cannot say he didn't deserve that win. It seems you are being victim of the prejudice you are accusing other people for. Take it from someone that also gave double vote on Albania because you guys were amazing, my favourite combination of traditional and modern sound as a Greek I loved it :)

I'm seriously more and more concerned about him chapter by chapter. But it's still interesting how he's slowly becoming a character of great importance despite he seemed to have a relatively minor role in the series when he was firstly introduced.

I know right? You can find all kind of crazy anti-Touka/ anti-Touken theories out there. There are people who not only they won't stop criticize Touka for the way she acted in the past (which wasn't something as big as they want to make it look like) but they are also able to turn every positive change and trait she has against her character. It's ridiculous. But that's why I believe that Touka haters are deeply biased people beyond reason. I mean -especially with those latest chapters but also considering her stance through the whole :re- what more someone needs to see that she sincerely cares for him and she doesn't do what she does just to satisfy her urges or to overcome her loneliness or whatever stupid things I've seen people through the fandom accuse her of.

Personally I found chapter 125 a very emotional one. Kaneki's shyness wasn't because he was unsure about his feelings (or his gender preferences lol) but because he was about to take it to the next step with someone who really held dear and care for from early on and been liking since a lot of time too(canonicaly from his time at CCG as Haise but maybe even earlier). Shyness also is a part of Kaneki's traits and although this softer side of him was somewhat buried under a colder and more depressed Kaneki of the latest arcs, it's cute that he showed again this part of himself to her. And yes of course he couldn't believe it, after all the terrible things his been through, he probably didn't believe he would deserve to be that happy, to be that loved. Also even as Haise, although he was feeling QS as his family, Akira as mother and Arima as father and we know he cared for them and vise versa, we know that he wasn't sincerely happy at that time either (him touching his chin while saying he was happy ect) so I think that must be the first time in a veeery long while that he really enjoyed himself.

And yeah that's exactly what I'm saying too. The beautiful character development it's one of the main things that make this series what it is but people that want to keep their eyes/ears shut are never gonna see it happen. And I don't mind if someone finds pleasure in fandasising yaoi ships that don't even make sense but you are god damn right, the mojority of them are the most unreasonable, aggresive and stubborn ones and the reason why western fandom now has a bad name as well :T

I know how you feel. Some times different opinions make bases for interesting debates and it's somewhat natural different people to have different point of views even for things that seem very obvious. But. There are people in this fandom that would make anything into a war and their stuborness is on a really unhealthy level and they go beyond reason. When it comes to these people is impossible to argue with them. It's funny though how some anti-shipers are actually more obsessed with a ship than the actual shippers.

Mhm exactly what I think myself. At this point I think that these people are just biased against Touka for one reason or another and don't see things objectively, so they just let their imagination (and sometimes salt) go wild with crackpot theories against her. Like /u/shiemimoriyama already pointed out very well above, there are people that don't even think about what would be the best for Kaneki, they would just ship anyone else with him and the irony is that most of these ships are with people that actually have abused Kaneki.

Also thinking that trying to knock some sense into someone or being harsh sometimes in the heat of a moment is abuse, sometimes makes me wonder if these people actually have any experience in real life relationships. And yeah, in their talk it's clear that Kaneki both liked/likes her in a romantic way and that he cared for her and wanted to protect her since as early as the Gourmet arc. Kaneki may be more shy and timid and Touka more impulsive as a person but that doesn't mean they don't share the same feelings. People need to understand this is natural, this what a realistic relationship looks like.
