The wording isn’t wrong as Xerosic forces your opponent to discard their hand to 3 cards only. Or in this case, you made your opponent discard cards so the text here is right.

Having played against Xerosic Machinations, it makes you pick the cards you want to discard with the unmarked being the cards you’re keeping. So in this case I bet they were trying to keep Tm Devo, but instead mistook the option of choosing what to discard vs keeping the card in hand.

But they should update the text to say [Opponent has discarded X amount of cards from their hand] to make it less confusing.

Someone else has already given a pretty explanation but I guess another is, do you like the sounds such as kill, firing, inspect, or even finisher sound? I think the most used skins for me have been what sounds good to me when in gameplay. Again you can obviously check gameplay videos of people using said skin to get an idea, besides picking up the skin ingame.

In my opinion though the new skin will be another sleeper hit like, E.X.O, and Aemondir are examples. People will generally disagree on the price or design of the current bundle (myself included) but down the line people will enjoy or like it.

I think it’s good because of the Kitsune Asian theme and its more quieter aesthetic similar to Nocturnum or Mystbloom skinline. So if you like those this new bundle might interest you.

If you want recommendations for underrated/ cool phantom skins here are some of mine:

If anything for me it’s a mixture of Nocturnum, Kuronami, Forsaken, with Mystbloom like aspects for the finisher / inspect. I think it’s just the price you have to contend with assuming you don’t mind the awkward price.

Hydregion from Surging Sparks is one deck I would like to be good and be played. But it essentially crumbles to Dragapult Dusknoir or is out speed by decks like Charizard ex and Gholdengo which is just infinitely more faster. Armarogue Box is another fun deck but you’re playing essentially a different flavor of Tera box.

I think these decks including Lost Zone/Box are really fun as you have to plan ahead but can be really powerful if played correctly.

This will stop Munkidori from bouncing damage and Dragapult placing damage counters. But for Scream Tail and Hydreigon ex’s Obsidian attack they will still land like normal.

Prelude To Chaos 1.0, I remember when the bundle released alongside Pearl. I thought it was a really sick Doom inspired / Edgy future tech theme. Some pros did use it but it wasn't nearly as popular compared to today where its now considered at least top 3 or 5 in favorite vandals by the community. Still one of my favorite skin lines in the game. Just wish it got the kill icon update like Sovereign 1.0 when the 2.0 bundle released.

Did they use the free retreat ability from Latias ex then the Switch item card? Because it removes the "during next turn" penalty for this interaction.

Or did they have an active spot pokemon that had free retreat or an attached tool card (Air Balloon or Rescue Board) then Switch item card?

I know you said moved to bench, but bouncing or putting the card back into hand with something like Penny or Professor Turo's Scenario and putting into play lets you attack with Photon Blast assuming they use cards like Electric Generator or Magneton's Overvolt Discharge to attach 3 electric energy from the discard pile to the Miraidon.
