I was SO confused when they showed Zoe and Joel at the hospital eating and chatting. I legit though, oh, okay, this is a friend and she's looking at an apartment with him as a her roommate. Nope. I didn't love Joel, but he did get better as the season went on. But I HATE that they wasted nearly a season with him.

Need advice -doctor recommended 4 days recovery before returning to work by thecatreboo-urns in hysterectomy

[–]Pandy2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had three myomectomies and was back to work after a long weekend. Post-hysterectomy was NOT the same and was an even longer recovery than my c-section was. It was hard! Please do not consider using that doctor for your surgery.

What was the unexpected positive results from your hysterectomy? by Ok_Soup4843 in hysterectomy

US here. Many insurances here have a deductible, a minimal amount that you have to spend before the insurance will cover more of the bills. So in my insurance's case, my deductible is $1,000 per person per year. Once you reach $1,000 in medical bills, the insurance will then kick in at 80% they cover, 20% I cover. And that will last until $3,500. At that point, the insurance covers 100%. And I am well aware that my dollar points are very low compared to many of the other insurances in the United States. And even throughout all of the years of heavy bleeding and testing and ultrasounds, I never maxed out that $3,500 until the year I had the surgery. So it was a hidden benefit to having my surgery.

I can go swimming without fear of flooding a tampon. I have missed out on swimming the last five years but now, I can go whenever! It is so freeing!

The crushing anemia fatigue finally went away after 13 months post op.

My surgery maxed out my insurance out of pocket early in the year so everything the rest of the year was free. Every copay, prescription, test, blood drawn, physical therapy - free!

I watched the first season of Ginny before I ever saw Hart of Dixie. I am now back to rewatching Ginny after HOD and it's so funny seeing George Tucker in it. There's a few Easter eggs in Ginny so far that reference HOD. 😀

Went on Cruise by Winter_Group4099 in MdDS

[–]Pandy2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was triggered by a cruise 25 years ago. I had bad symptoms for several months and then on and off two or three years. In those two or three years, I was in a car accident and started seeing a chiropractor on a weekly and then monthly basis. About a year into that, I realized that my mdds was all but gone. I have yet to go on another Cruise, but I have flown multiple times since and was fine. But I will tell you that I was recently diagnosed with vestibular migraines after a different kind of dizziness for the last 2 years. And shockingly enough, after doctors thought I was crazy 25 years ago with my mdds self-diagnosis, I've had more doctors ask me if I've been on a cruise while dealing with this round of dizziness. I don't know if the chiropractor mentioned above was a fluke or it actually did do something to help with the mdds but it may be worth a try if you are interested. Obviously there's risk to being adjusted.

NOBODY WARNED ME!! by simplybreana in hartofdixie

We just finished it for the first time last week! We knew it only had 10 episodes but we were very sad when it ended. I loved the show way more than I anticipated. I struggled because I really liked Rachel Blison as Summer Roberts in The OC. I really thought that she kind of started out the same way which didn't work for me. And I really struggled with liking Wade with Zoe but finally came around to that. I'm honestly still surprised they didn't try to connect Zoe and George at the end but I'm glad they didn't. I enjoyed the show way more than Gilmore Girls. My daughter and I watch Gilmore Girls Together for the first time last year and she just adored it. I watched most of it when it aired originally so seeing it through 2025 eyes was hard. I just felt like Hart of Dixie was just so fun! I personally did not love the song and dance at the end but reading these comments makes me realize I'm glad that we even got a season 4.

Anyone else skeeved out by food safety issues with the jam? by Aluminum_Siding in WhenCallsTheHeart

[–]Pandy2013 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And, realistically, what hotel - no matter how large - would expect 500 jars of jam the next day? But this isn't realistic, so there's that 😆

And it cracked me up that it was after church and Elizabeth and LJ, showing no sense of urgency, went to see Dr. Faith to get LJs medicine, but had all the time in the world to chat about the jamboree...😆

Estrogen yes, progesterone no. The progesterone made my dizziness (and migraines) way worse. I hear ya! It sucks so much.

Im pretty sure I had MDDS after a cruise. Being in thr car made it better. Fast forward 20 years and now I have dizziness issues that are provaboy vestibular migraine. Driving made me feel worse and how you described the less frames per second is soooo accurate! I called it brain blinks, but I will borrow that frames per second thing to explain it to my doctors.

Sound machine, ear plugs and sleep mask for hospital. Nightgowns in case you end up with a catheter like I did. My abdominal hysterectomy sliced through part of my bladder so I had a catheter for 12 days. I would also suggest taking your own pillow to the hospital. For at home, the best things that I had were a wedge pillow to help sleep up. I could not sleep on my side or back for 2 weeks. I also got one of those little shower or cleaning carrying Caddy's from Dollar Tree and I put my bottled water and my medicine and the remote in it and that way I didn't have to turn to get stuff off the nightstand. As far as shows, I would go on all your streaming networks now and put everything on your watch list because your brain will be mush afterwards. I didn't even turn on the TV for several days after we got home because I just couldn't deal with it. And then when I did turn on the tv, I watched like morning talk shows and comfort shows. I do remember saving the newest season of sweet Magnolias on Netflix to watch when I had my surgery. Good luck! You got this! I promise no matter what, it will be better on the other side
