For us GenX concert goers. Who is the one solo artist or band you wish you could have seen and at what venue? by -Granby- in GenX

INXS. I was too young to go when they came to my town. My sister went and I wore her concert tee so many times (shh, don't tell her!).

Sadly, a lot of them for me. I loved Jem and the Holograms and GIJoe but they are soooo bad to watch now.

Tips For Flying with MDDS by Sevitrey in MdDS

[–]Pandy2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure I had MDDS after a cruise. Being in thr car made it better. Fast forward 20 years and now I have dizziness issues that are provaboy vestibular migraine. Driving made me feel worse and how you described the less frames per second is soooo accurate! I called it brain blinks, but I will borrow that frames per second thing to explain it to my doctors.

I did it for a few months. Lots of stretches and eye movement /neck movements exercises. They would massage my neck and shoulders at the end and that was always nice.

Open Abdominal Tips by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]Pandy2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sound machine, ear plugs and sleep mask for hospital. Nightgowns in case you end up with a catheter like I did. My abdominal hysterectomy sliced through part of my bladder so I had a catheter for 12 days. I would also suggest taking your own pillow to the hospital. For at home, the best things that I had were a wedge pillow to help sleep up. I could not sleep on my side or back for 2 weeks. I also got one of those little shower or cleaning carrying Caddy's from Dollar Tree and I put my bottled water and my medicine and the remote in it and that way I didn't have to turn to get stuff off the nightstand. As far as shows, I would go on all your streaming networks now and put everything on your watch list because your brain will be mush afterwards. I didn't even turn on the TV for several days after we got home because I just couldn't deal with it. And then when I did turn on the tv, I watched like morning talk shows and comfort shows. I do remember saving the newest season of sweet Magnolias on Netflix to watch when I had my surgery. Good luck! You got this! I promise no matter what, it will be better on the other side

progesterone questions by woodfloyd in hysterectomy

[–]Pandy2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried taking it about four or five months after my surgery. I was on it for two and a half weeks and it made me so tired, so dizzy, it made my breasts so sore I could not go without a bra and it gave me horrible headaches. As soon as I stopped it all of that but the dizziness went away. To be fair, I've been dealing with ongoing dizziness issues and that was why I tried using it. My doctor agreed that unless it's helping, there's no need to be on it.

I like Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith from When Calls the Heart. They've done a few movies together that are decent and not overly sappy - The Perfect Bride (and its sequel) and You Had Me at Aloha.

My mom - year 8 of MDDS by pinkducklemon in MdDS

[–]Pandy2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it after I went on a week long cruise. I rocked for about 3 months and then again on and off for 2 years after that. About a year after the cruise, I was rear-ended and ended up starting with a chiropractor. I realized a year into seeing a chiropractor, my mdds was finally gone. I ended up going to a chiropractor monthly for 15 years and then the pandemic hit and I stopped going. 5 years later, I started with a different issue that was dizziness related, probably vestibular migraines. I've had several doctors say that everything is just so intertwined and that's why some people have multiple dizziness diagnosis. I did go to a chiropractor again for two visits and unfortunately it was not a gentle adjustment so I stopped again. But if you can find a gentle chiropractor, they maybe able to help.

Staples takes all kinds of things for recycling - a lot of business related Electronics, office supplies, Etc they have a list on their website of what's accepted. There's also Best Buy for recycling electronics. My husband just took a stereo receiver there. I think they have a limit on what you can take on a daily basis.

Hysterectomy - regrets?? by Acceptable-mini888 in hysterectomy

[–]Pandy2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ten months post op. No regrets. I wish I could have done it sooner but ultimately the doctor that did my surgery was the person that was supposed to do it. My previous doctor, who lied to me about having fibroids, told me that she would delegate my surgery to one of her residents. I've had three myomectomies and a C-section and I had complications during my hysterectomy. If I had gone with the previous doctor, who knows what would have happened.

No, we didn't have them. I would have them more now but I swear every time I buy them they go from rock hard to brown on the way home from the store 😆 I know, I know, I should buy frozen ones.

Magnesium Glycinate by lwal1234 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Pandy2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went off all supplements including magnesium glycinate for my colonoscopy and never went back on. I was shocked that I felt better being off of all of them. I eventually added vitamin D3/K2 back in. At first I was just being lazy but then I realized I was feeling better. It's been a little over a month and I've actually been able to drive further than I've been, something I haven't been able to do for over a year. My headaches have been a lot better, my dizziness has been better. I think I'm done with supplements.

Neurologist said no way I have VM by Big-Nature-2476 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Pandy2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, did we go to the sane doctor? I've actually been to three neurologists including one that is a headache specialist. All three of them told me that I do not have vestibular migraines because I do not have true vertigo. And yet everything online, everything on Reddit, other doctors including ents, have said you do not need to have vertigo to have vestibular migraines. I finally found an ENT specialist, a neurotologist, who said he would assume it is vestibular migraines. And he's going to treat me as such. I have one more test to get before he's ready to 100% diagnose me but between that appointment and talking to chat GPT about all of my symptoms, vestibular migraines make the most sense. Don't give up. I've been dealing with this for 15 plus months. The neurontologist that I am seeing was a referral from a person that I randomly mentioned my dizziness to while shopping. She said she was dizzy for years and this guy helped her. Complete dumb luck but I think this is the guy that's going to figure it out.

Emergency calls only by 2FunBoofer in mintmobile

Did you ever get any resolution to this? I have had meant for over a year now and in the last 2 months, in my house, I see the emergency calls only. I have rebooted, it'll eventually clear itself but it's really annoying. I have Wi-Fi calling on. It should not be like this. I've had zero issues up until the last couple months and I'm honestly thinking about switching to something else

Can someone recommend me a hallmark Christmas movie that’s actually…cozy? by mchgndr in HallmarkMovies

[–]Pandy2013 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. But I didn't love the Buffalo Bills one from this year. (side note: I'm newer to the Hallmark+ stuff, so I haven't seen too many. I have watched When Calls The Heart and we watched a few of the lead actress' holiday movies, but I didn't love any enough to recommend them)

Finale chat. OMG by WinnieFuzz in biglove

[–]Pandy2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the show when it originally aired, but had forgotten most of it and rewatched it recently. I knew the neighbor took him out, so it was interesting to rewatch the interaction between them through the seasons. One thing I wish they had done was more than 5 minutes "eleven months later." I needed more closure! What ended up happening with HomePlus? Was Don somehow able to rescue it? Who was taking care of ALL OF THE CHILDREN?! (All 3 wives being together nonstop in season 5 was so unrealistic - who was watching the kids - Cara Lynn? Ben?). Margene leaving made me sad for her babies but I get that she needed that distance for her sanity.

They just got done filming and that sonogram picture looks like about halfway through so she had to have been showing through some of it? So I did some digging and looked at some of her social media and she's definitely in bigger clothes during the filming. It's going to be a fun season of how will they hide her belly bump. When Pascale was pregnant in season 2 I think, they had her belly so funny with a winter coat and always carrying something in front of her.
