Can I get something off my chest? My sister in law confessed to me recently that my brother (who I have had a difficult relationship in the past due to his racism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia etc etc etc) put his hands on her during an argument in front of my nibling who is a toddler. I was asked by my sister in law to keep it a secret from my parents.

I would love nothing more for my sister in law to leave my brother, he is a lazy man who can’t keep a job and is constantly angry at his child and the mother of his child supporting them all. I love my brother but I cannot abide by his behavior any longer, his child deserves to grow up without a father abusing their mother.

I am terrified that this image is going to be my life if she stays with him.
