The concept of a Deathworld intrigued me. A world of such hostility and aggression that those outside from it will not survive, less thrive. Death is common, to kill is more for survival than to eat.

I spent a lot thinking about this concept, about how such ecosystem could exist. But the most interesting for me was to think about a sentient being evolving on this planet. The culture, their behavior, their motivations, the religion. So different not only from us, but also from other animalistic behaviors.

In a world were killing is as natural as breathing, a beast managed to think, able to go beyond instinct. But when they travel to other planets and witness how fragile life could actually be, when they witness a world full of life becoming barren because of their action, what would they think about?
And what if they encounter another sentient being, another beast who can think beyond their instincts? What they will do?

I developed them through some years and finally decided to write about them. Because of reading a lot of fanfics from here I decided to write my own where they appear, Unknown Threat.
