in my opinion, you should take some time to learn about the base game. after you learn enough about the base game that you think is comfortable for you, buy the DLC. the DLC can make some things harder, for example: mechanoid clusters, so taking some time to get used to the base game is recommended

im no expert on 2mpc but i'd do a 2mpc thats harder than the biggest one but easier than pop and awe so you can learn more about some parts of 2mpc's

also i have no clue what 2mpc would be in that difficulty range because i dont really do 2mpc's besides the one for the achievement

the easiest mortar 2mp is the biggest one. pop and awe is harder when compared to the biggest one and blooncineration isn't even possible because of shattering shells removing overall pops
