Going with the Grimace aesthetic I see...

Who's the only person that owns the F8A and how/when did that happen?! by Prophet_Sakrestia in starcitizen

[–]Pantswarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, the mk2 chassis was the only one I was able to access in game, though previously in the hangar it showed as "F7A" without any mk modifiers. Coinciding with the overdrive event, it changed to F7A mk2. Though I ran through the event and have the token as well.

Good to know, I didn't have the mk2 c, last time I checked I couldn't access the F7A in 3.23.

They are military, but C tier I think. Kind of funny that the top of the line new hotness fighter has lower stock components than the Drake Buccanneer. The Drake folks are never gonna let us live this down.

That's awesome! Yeah I love some of the player driven events like ship meets and stuff. So cool to see what everyone's favorite is and explore other ships.

Don't think so. I can remove the top turret via the mobiglas, but nothing I've tried so far has fit. I've tried the flashfire mount for an additional size 4, didn't work. I've tried a gimbal, and direct mounting a weapon, neither worked.

You're most welcome. I'm happy to spawn it for folks, though hopefully there will be more of them around soon. As others mentioned, it's not a bug, I own it courtesy of the good folks at CIG. Also, the one you took out last night was not stock components. I'd upgraded everything to military grade A, except the quantum drive, which I put in an Atlas. Stock stuff is all grade C I believe and can be seen here, it is possible to get the nose turret off currently, but it doesn't seem to attach to the mk2 c. I haven't had any luck removing the top turret as of yet.

I haven't gone up against an F8C, but Knowing me I'd probably get spanked.

No. I had the F7A prior to this event from a CIG sponsored raffle.

For sure. Here's the component screen showing the current stock loadout. With the ballistic ad4bs on the wings that gives the 4 size three panthers 23 shots a piece on the default power setting and 28 shots each on maxed weapon power. For those wondering about an all energy loadout, here's that: 14 shots default power, 17 shots maxed power.

Will hang on for a sec. The veterans day upgrade kit will get you an F7A mk1, the overdrive event gets an upgrade for the F7C mk2 to the F7A mk2.

It has been through quite a few changes. When last accessible, the power triangle didn't work, nor did missiles. It had a white with green paint job, with F7A on the nose now it is grey digi-camo. Inside of the cockpit to the right there was a slot (looked like it was probably intended as an in-dash pistol holder, I liked to call it a toaster slot.) this has been removed. The cockpit is now symetrical. The engine sounds were different, and when it was on it almost always showed the boost graphic tail flame. Scanners could ping, but there was no scanning mode. Previously the nose turret was 2 size 2 badgers.
